Barney not being able to take a bad photo and the telepathic conversations were really good too.
The pineapple in Ted's room and how it got there, was explained. Just not till the final season. It was from The Captains house. He puts out a pineapple outside his front door around Halloween. Ted snatches it while he's blackout drunk. Super Fan here 👍.
But he didn't know the Captain yet so how did that happen? I thought there was an explanation though, just couldn't remember it, thanks!

The Pineapple Incident (S01E10) episode wasn't a Halloween episode, though, the Halloween episode for season 1 was S01E06 (the one where Ted is waiting for the slutty pumpkin). The pineapple was explained in a season 9 episode, but the scene with the explanation was cut. You can find it in the bonus material on the DVD box. The captain basically claims that it is an old seaman's tradition to put out a pineapple as a sign of hospitality, so he has one in front of his mansion and one in front of his townhouse in the city. After Ted got totally drunk he stole the pineapple from the townhouse, without knowing who the owner was.
Yeah actually it's in a deleted SEASON 8 clip so not the last season and he left it outside his New York apartment building which just so happened to be the same one as Ted and Marshall's
He left it outside as an old sailors tradition. They hadn't met at that point yet. The Captain is weird enough to leave a pineapple out and Ted was drunk enough to snatch it up. Lol

Oh god there are a lot of hilarious episodes in this show I can't even begin to write about but I say you did a great job making this top ten list🌼BTW If had to pick some episodes as my favorites Blitz,the naked man,slap bets,interventions,the plot,the pineapple,Marshal & lily's wedding day,all the flashbacks,Doppelgangers,The ducky tie,and the PlayBook would be my choice,There a lot more but those were the ones I could remember without thinking😀

The Swarley episode is my favorite of the series not only for what you said but also Marshall and Lily getting back together and the references to friends at the start of the episode and cheers at the end. Really topped off the episode with that final scene

It's not a running gag but Ted's version of the older man Robin's dating in the thanksgiving episode is always good for a laugh.
