I've always admired ballet dancers as some of our greatest artists and athletes.
I believe they are the fittest of the fit !
This is just wonderful. WHAT a fabulous dancer Matty is and so handsome ... he is the perfect lead male, so reliable, so strong. I have seen him on that stage many times and loved every single performance!
What a wise man, at this young age!! The future of the ballet is secure when a dancer like him leading the art of the ballet world. Thank you.
To bad ballet is insignificant in modern day culture.
It’s all about Electronic Dance Music now, and it will give rise to a cosmic spinning dance, because that is what the music inspires.
Ballet was cool in the renaissance, not anymore.
The geometry of electronic dance music will inspire the dance of the future, and it will make ballet look like what it is: ancient, incomplete (because they spin in one direction.) IGNORANT.
@@JosedeJezeus What a narrow view. Ballet has survived, changed, grown, endured for four centuries. Like all pop dance crazes, electronic dance music will last for a time and then be consigned to the dust bin of dance history, while ballet, glorious, entrancing, exciting ballet, is attracting new audiences across the globe, thrilling audiences of children and adults alike.
You're on the wrong side of dance history.
@@richardcleveland8549 consider this: ballet dancers only do long spins in one direction. It’s a major flaw.
The human body is capable of both direction patterns. The left side is a mirror of the right side, and both have the same potential.
I have noticed this type of trend in competitive environments: the trend of players (participants) being “lopsided.” It happens in figure skating too. Winning gets in the way of proper, balanced, development.
@@JosedeJezeushahaha what an uneducated troll.😂😂😂😂 must be an American
So looking forward to seeing Matthew Ball and the Royal Ballet at Jacob’s Pillow (yeah USA) this July!
Thrilling.
OMG thanks for the info! What a get for Jacob's Pillow!
@@insaelliott1318 Right! And it’s the company’s only U.S. stop in 2024.
Eckhart Tolle "life is the dancer and you are the dance" 😊
Matthew has an amazing physique. Combined with elegance and sensitivity, wonderful technique and perfect line, he's an exceptional dancer.
Oh thank you. My favourite ballet dancer. This was a gift. I love he is so reflexive and deep about his work and the arts. Great work.
Good God, those legs! So powerful and graceful.
"Dance is only alive whilst it's happening." And comes to fruition while being performed. I was thinking about photography, how it's a moment captured, static. Unlike video. Music used to be alive only while it's happening, but now we have recordings and can make it alive at will.
A work of art in all aspects 👏🏼👏🏼
Always wonderful to see Matthew dance, and to hear his insights and feelings about dance and movement ❤
I love Matthew Ball. I wish this could be on MOVE 2024 - World Dance Day Online Festival
Matthew Ball is like a real life embodiment of Leonardo da Vinci's "Vitruvian Man." Wow - perfection.
Love the way this is filmed, so beautiful!
have got a bit of a crush on Matt. His dancing has got so good !!
Love this
I'd like to ask him where he got that book collection.
Hard to read the titles, but there seem to be modern classics and a book on Fractals. Interesting.
What an athlete!
Thank you.
Thanks for posting this nice clip of a beauiful and very good dancer...also smart
Great Work!
Muito fã dele e da Mayara!!!
Still grumpy about there being more camera movement than depiction of DANCER. Must the camera compete with the dancer? Harrumph. Okay. I’m done now.
I was just thinking the same thing. The camera work was so jumpy it was just annoying.
❤
wow! suddenly I'm gay
Tough to profile someone when you provide essentially no dialogue, narration or even inter-titles, FFS.
So looking forward to seeing Matthew Ball and the Royal Ballet at Jacob’s Pillow (yeah USA) this July!
Thrilling.
