You may not even need a permit for a shed, check your local building department. They usually have an exception for either 200 sq ft or 400 sq. ft (sometimes only 100 sq ft). But even if you need a permit you likely won't need wall bracing, you can usually just frame at 16" or 24" oc and use utility or better studs for sheds.
this helped tie all those tables together and why they even exist. But when it comes to walls higher than 8', im not sure common sheet goods will coming in 10' lenghts. We say continuous panels, but does that mean just an area with sheeting. Or would it dictate that the sheet has to be use vertically and be continuous?
Just what I needed to know I order to properly submit a permit for a large shed I am having built. The manufacturer of the shed hasn't helped at all.
Add a note that say all shear walls will fulfill what is prescribed by irc 2018.
