Thank you! I finished college in 91 and I am looking towards a new career. My first course is basically understanding computer basics. Alt text was a word they wanted to use as key word, but I still did not understand completely. Your video really helped put it in perspective. I do not need to know how to create alt text, but understanding what it is I do need to get. Thanks again for helping me do that!

YOAST SEO gave me an amber light for not providing the ''Focus Keyphrase ' in each and every image.
Ideally, should the 'Focus Keyphrase' precede the actual image description or should it be added as a suffix? Thank you

Thank you for the video. I'm having trouble understanding how to handle describing my images/alt text for Google on my affiliate site.
I've read tons of articles about alt text and am still not sure how to handle describing my particular photos.
And I don't mean I'm having trouble literally describing what's in a photo. I have a pretty good handle on that. Keeping it under 125 characters, being descriptive, etc..
More specifically, I have about five to seven images on each of my articles, and feel that most of them would be considered "decorative".
For instance, I often use images of animals or scenic landscapes in my articles, which aren't directly related to my niche or the topic of the article they appear in.
To be clear as to why I use these types of photos instead of all "on the nose" photos that relate directly to my niche is because frankly, I like the emotion and visual appeal that the animal and scenic photos inspire, and for me, because my niche is alternative health related, I personally think it would be very dull and boring to have all photos that were "on the nose" regarding the alternative health areas that I cover.
And so I want to write alt descriptions for the images that I do use, but am not clear on what is appropriate in those cases. And by appropriate, I mean what may or may not screw up SEO and/or penalize me if I try to associate the image with my niche/content in the image description.
Can anyone relate to this dilemma and not really being sure what is best?

Thanks this is super helpful! Does the image title matter much? For example, I make personalized wooden maps of Ireland. Would this be ok for an Alt tag?: Handmade wooden map of Ireland wall art engraved with Gaelic word for Galway in old Irish font. Any help would be amazing. Keep up the great work.

Great video! Question: if you use images that aren't directly related to your service (such as a tea cup, or an image of the city you're based in), should you not use any keywords (ie. Sydney Lawyer) etc? Thanks in advance :)

@Adolab how would you write ALT-TEXT for multiple pictures of the same products? For instance, if I had a picture of a stuffed dog and I took multiple angle shots. Thank you for the video by the way ... :-)

Do you know if the alt text still works for images to show in google image search if the alt text is edited in after the product has already been published?

Im in the beauty industry and I have a website, but I want a floral background. What should my alt text be for my background? I don't want to be deceiving about my alt text, but my business has nothing to do with flowers. The pictures that I include over text will have everything to do with my business though. Help. what do you suggest.
