Been an actor in Hollywood for my entire adult life. I don't recognize the industry anymore. The standing ovation was shameful, but not surprising. Hollywood has lost it's moral compass and one of the reasons I fly helicopters for a living. I still have an agent and a membership to the Academy, just waiting for a moral turn around to happen. Thanks Joe, for bringing this subject to light.

He just recently apologized to her on the 'Fresh Prince' Reunion for how he treated her on set. He stated it was because he was 'intimidated' by her talent. So, he is very capable of allowing his ego to control his behavior.

That wasn't bullying, everyone knows historically that the host of the show can and will roast other members of the crowd, it's a shtick, it's expected, when you're sitting in the front row, and you show up bald as a woman, and nobody knows you have any condition for it, EXPECT IT, lots of other people have been roasted for decades, but nobody has gotten away by committing a violent crime on international television and gets applauded for it, ... If Jada wanted to avoid anyone commenting on her hair she should have worn a wig, being the husband of two ex wives that were black, I can say that wigs and weaves are extremely common, so by not doing that, and boldly coming bald, she should have expected comments, .... It was a choice she made that got a response, and there's no excuse for Will at all, whatever he gets is nothing compared to what he should have gotten, security should have escorted him out taken him to jail and booked him

This is what I think happened. I believe both Will and Jada are closet bi. I think that she and him decided to have an open relationship and when it was suppose to end and get back to being monogamous Jada kept on seeing August…meaning she got a bit too attached to him and it went on longer than it should have which is why she called it an “Entanglement.” I think after the way she talked about Pac and his own daughter wrote a letter to Tupac wishing he would make her mother happy again, that made Will feel like he had to show he was still the man of his house and he smacked the crap out of Chris Rock on stage. Not Chris’s fault you got marital issues you both caused yourselves Will and Jada! Not his fault! That slap made your whole family look broken. A black producer produced Oscars ceremony. One of Hollywood's biggest movie stars who's black and played a lot of positive black character's on screen. Smith been gunning for an Oscar for years. He was a shoe in to win that night. When it comes to celebrity, Will Smith outranks Chris Rock in popularity, money, and success. White Hollywood didn't want to be considered racist by booing and or not standing up for Smith's win. They probably thought what happened between Smith and Rock was a "black thang" that they wouldn't understand.
I would say a lot of the Hollywood crowd didn't know what to make of it and just went along. I remember Tiffany Haddish actually supported what Will Smith did that night. After that night, I found out Chris Rock wasn't too popular amongst Woke black women and black liberals.
