@@tylerbates8198 Stock suspension leaves a lot to be desired. Handling and ride quality are subpar. Actually pretty bad when you take into account the cost of these models. Upgrading suspension is a game changer. Much more comfort for long days on the road. Handles much better over all types of road conditions. More planted on the road. Front end dive all but eliminated when breaking. Hope this helps. Take care.

16 SG build also in vivid black 👍 Built as a performance bagger from day one (My Dyna LRS also built the same). My favorite mods in no ranking order... 1)Suspension with 14" length Ohlins 044 shocks and GP Suspension 25mm cartridges in front.
2)Brakes with big rotor kits and 6 piston calipers front and rear.
3)Engine with a full S&S high compression crate 124 motor with TTS and all supporting mods.
4)Chassis with 2 True Tracks and Alloy Art braces with Polyurethane motor mounts to lose the rubber band in the middle of the bike.
5)Ergos with 14" T bars (also running coffin handguards), heated grips and JP customs seat.
6)Wheels with an upgrade to newer Talons with a 18" rear and 19" front combo and ditching the awful 16" rear setup.
7)Lighting with JW Speaker LED headlamp with CD LED stoplamps and signals.
8)General controls with floorboards, levers, etc.
Absolute ripper in the mountains and straightway tourer. I don't even compare it to a HD anymore.. I compare it to a real Sport Tourer (cough, Harley ST, Electraglide, cough, LOL, cough) like a FJR....
Could care less about tunes... Actually if I could do it again I'd of built a vivid black RoadKing TC, thrown a FXRT fairing and T bars on as my base to build on. Lighter build at the end and not a bike everyone else has. 👍

I had a 2016 SGS with all the upgrades I wanted. Then I bought a 2022 SGS and moved the upgrades over to it. Less the headers and pipes, added 50 cal. Tabs, and heated grips. Got a great deal from McGrath Harley-Davidson in Dubuque, Iowa. I am happy.

Dan installed legend’s front and rear on my SGS at 50k. Pulling my trailer through the hills of West Virginia, nana told me to slow down🤭. Big ole barge handles excellent when loaded and/or running light. Excellent adjustability. I made a few different canned settings. Really easy to change based on the load. I highly recommend getting the longer rear shocks. That extra little bit of travel makes a big difference.
Anyhow, any setup is expensive, your dime your choice, but it would be nice to see something automated that you can adjust from the dash. $$$

I just bought a 2007 FLHX and I definitely want to do all of these upgrades over time aside from paint. The color has really grown on me since getting it. One thing I eventually want to which will by far be the biggest upgrade will be putting in a 124” S&S motor kit. That will give all the power I need and want for this bike. It has low mileage for its model year and I have no intention of trading it in any time soon.
