- Where is Brian Laundrie?
That’s been the question for over a week now as law enforcement officials continue to comb through the Carlton Reserve looking for the man named as the only "person of interest" in the death of his fiancé, 22-year-old Gabby Petito.
10 Tampa Bay spoke with retired Army Special Forces Captain and trained survivalist Mykel Hawke about what conditions are like in the area where police suspect Laundrie is located.
Hawke says, if Laundrie is in the reserve, he’s in a “brutal” and “unforgiving” environment.

He’s not there they played law enforcement!!
That didn't age well
He was. Bet you feel stupid now
His name is Mike Hawk
I wonder if he is cousin to Mike hunt
He never was there!! Stop wasting taxpayers money!! Make his parents pay for this stupid search they know where he really is!!
Agree totally! 👍👏
Did the parents say they know where he is?
They may not be looking for him - he could have disposed of evidence in there. Right now he's still not a murder suspect. If they find something in the swamp, maybe that could change even if what they find isn't him.
He knew before anybody else that he would have to be on the run forever, so why would would someone who knows the hardship of living in the wild run into a place that would kill him one way or another? Unless, he intended to not survive.
imagine laundrie watching this video from somewhere other place..
I don't believe this boy from NY City is a survival expert. He brags about living on the Appalachian Trail for 3 months. He's only been out of high school for 60 months. How, where and when did he acquire these skills?
I think you may underestimate how quickly someone can gain many different skills in a very short period of time using the internet. You have countless amount of training at your fingertips. That being said, I highly doubt this dude is out there anyway. He had way more time to make much more calculated moves with law enforcement losing track of him to begin with.
Just say 4 years. You can learn a lot in 4 YEARS.
@@Infinidisc lol you clown thats not how the internet works. You dont become a survival expert in 60 months. That area is brutal even for a seasoned expert
@Yourmumgoestocollege1776 But he had a lot to learn first. A lot more than the run of the mill expert naturalist.
@@chrisw9122 It also takes experience. If it was that easy. Thousands of people would be doing it. However difficult or easy it might be, he has to be better at finding this food than anyone who preceded him wherever he is.
He not there he is somewhere watching and laughing at the cops
I might start rooting for the guy a family who won't give up one of their own even under all this pressure starting to like these people
@@landonmcclain5812 screw u he was a good guy who had his life ruined by Gabby
@@landonmcclain5812 how did you know I lived in a trailer
@@landonmcclain5812 actually I got seven but how the hell do you know all of this you can tell I'm a huge Trump supporter just from that one comment
@@tombrown8992 well in reality there’s pretty much a 50/50 chance you are a trump supporter if you live in the US. Trump doesn’t really seem to be a good human being and your comment sympathizing with a murderer kinda made me put you in the same Scummy category. And just so we are clear I don’t think Biden is any good either…

Reigning champ Sasquatch is pissed .
Let's take a poll. Does anyone believe his parents that he went to the Carlton Reserves? Can anyone confirm seeing his car there between that tues and thurs? Too many things don't add up. Per his parents they went back on Thurs and found a note on his car that said "take the car" . . ? ? ? really. Come On people
@Spread love Not Hate exactly . . . how was he supposed to get home from his "camping trip" if they took his car?
@@tthom2459 dude..this. if you thought your kid was missing...why in the actual F WOULD YOU TAKE THE CAR AWAY FROM THAT SPOT!? DOES NOT ADD UP!
They still can’t even find bigfoot.
He is not there
Can’t they police check what supplies the Laundries bought before “camping”. Could be clues.
He is in there, there are trail cams in and around the entrances of these reserves. They have him going in..... thing is if he was dead the sky would fill up fast with vultures. I live 5 minutes from this search entrance, it's right on the other side of 75. The sky would tell them right away where to go if he was decomposing. He's not dead yet.....and a $2 survival blanket can deflect thermal imaging.
Wouldn't the thermal blanket also act like a mirror if the light hit it the right way? I have no idea, I work hard at staying out of the swampland unless I'm on a planned photoshoot. 🤔
How do you know he’s on surveillance camera going in the reserve?
You would think they put cameras everywhere.
What if he went in and was captured on camera, then left in a spot with no camera?
@@ES12399 the dog said something of the sort. He said it was grainy and hard to identify. He was referring to the area when he said it so he likely wasn't referring to the one 500 miles away a few days back.
Daaaamn…don’t hold back, tell us what you really think. Lol
Pay Brian's sister and his lawyer pay an insider close to them and get info. The lawyer is obviously greedy and bad. Money should do the trick. His lawyer is helping get money and essentials to him. Get an insider from the lawyers office
He’s not there
brian not there
You lost me in the first 30 seconds. Have you completely discounted Gabby and Brian's friends saying how he lived in the WILDERNESS of the Appalacians for TWO MONTHS on his own right before he and Gabby got together? Brian knows what he's doing. He's not just some day-hiker that pitches tents in ready-made campsites. He's a survivalist. But he's NOT at the Carlton Reserve. I believe his parents loaded up that new camper, and took Brian out for that "weekend camping trip", showed him how to get to some OTHER wildlife park that he could hike to from Carlton Reserve and then brought him home so he could be seen leaving in HIS car on Tuesday. They may have even put maps of Carlton on Brian's computer and whatnot to throw police off. But I think Brian hiked into the Carlton Reserve, then right out another side and off to somewhere else where he's now holed up with a crapton of non-perishable food (remember, he's also VEGAN), a dozen or so Life Straws, and clothes. He's NOT in Carlton... but he IS someplace "off the grid".
like the State Forest south of North Port. Hiking distance! Still close to home with camping and trails with dryer conditions.
what his friends say means exactly shit...besides, he's already dead..
The reserve is a completely different animal than the Appalachians. A lot less to skill needed to survive in the latter.
he is NOT in there!!!! they had plenty of time to make a plan and slip him far away!!!!!!!!!
He not their his parents put him somewhere else!!
Family that rides for you like this weathering the storm with all this pressure and still don't give him up to the feds I'm starting to like these people
@@landonmcclain5812 Now I can sleep better ja ja
NORTH PORT GOT PLAYED BIG TIME LMFAO
He he catches a 15’ python he can eat off that for 2 weeks. Worms have a lot of protein.
If the python catches him, it can live off Brian for a whole year.
JESUS! He’s not in there!!!
He was lmfao
Ok, all of you sideline QBs, you are clearly ppl who have never been in or near a FL swamp. Before BL was found, you weren't even willing to take the word of an expert with years of experience. I grew up in this area and lived here almost my whole life. Nobody in their right mind would go in there alone without any provisions unless they were going to commit suicide. There is so much danger in a swamp during even the day but at night, the real predators come out. He had to be underwater (which we know he was) because the turkey buzzards would have been circling and then law enforcement would have found him right away. As it is, it looks like the gators got to him in the water. The point is: predators everywhere. #swamplife
He's not there try the Appalachians and everyone is different how do you know he can't live 10 yrs in a swamp u don't know that🙄
i think hes not that skilled. skilled enough to survive...not skilled enough to hide from the law. if he hasnt come up on ir he's in something belly. if not someone drove him or set him up with a car
I dedicate this song to Brian and his parents: czcams.com/video/IStlBOX9F4o/video.html
Ya need Dog the bounty hunter to get the S.O.B.!
He won’t find him either
@@notofthisworld5267 why do u figure that?
I wish the journalist would ask this survivalist where else he thinks Brian might have gone. Somewhere he'd have a skill level to manage, if it's semi rugged.
These people are Talking Heads there are indigenous people who have lived in those conditions for thousands of years you talkin about a week with the guy who is experienced and has supplies that's nothing
@@tombrown8992 Indigenous peoples have likely learned about living in a natural environment over years from others who know firsthand the perils, I would think. This guy did some glamping, and I would need photo evidence from his backpacking days or whatever to believe he knows what he's doing out there.
You must haven't been following this thing they've said a number of times his number one Hobby in life is outdoors activities camping for extended periods of time and he survived over a month in the wild just fooling around if you don't think that's the type of guy who can survive a couple weeks with supplies and a head start you dreaming
