I gave Shellwe a try before because you talked about them, but I couldn't wait for your review to grab these. I love that they do the mini palette options and I can confirm that even if you aren't getting PR this collection came packaged so preciously. The highlight palette is really great as eyeshadow toppers, they've lasted a whole workday without fallout or much fading, it's great. And those cream blushes, I can literally pat my brush in it once, tap on the back of my hand, and then it's just enough for my cheeks. I'm afraid if they come out with more colors like you asked I'd have to grab them too. Oh darn.

I bought the Mist Witch eyeshadow palette and I will buy again from the brand, but never on pre order again.
I know they did a good job of telling people about the issues they had with the pre order, but I will not pre order again, the only brand that does a good job on pre orders is Adept.
It’s so great they do mini palettes but with the full range of colors. I absolutely love palettes with removable small pans such as a lot of Colourpop palettes.
There was once a pro MUA brand that sold shadows in a teeny 9mm circle size or something like that and it was the best. I had 1 bright green shadow from them, and by the time I wanted to buy more years later, they had gone out of business.
Vanessa’s Vanity also sold multichromes in that tiny size in early 2020 when multichromes were just starting to hit the market and it was a way to get them for cheaper. Most brands were charging something like $20-30 at the time but I could get the same shades for like $10 each. I still use the colors a few times per seasons. Vanessa’s Vanity is also out of business.
I remember Vanessa's vanity! What about Dawn eyes!? She sold the multichrome pigments for super cheap way back in 2018-19!
This brand is one I’d like to try this year. They look great! I think the mixing medium is like Duraline, perhaps, to turn a shadow into a liner? That might be desirable with multichromes. Thank you for showing this to us!
I’ve been so so tempted by shellwe!!! I have so much eyeshadow I definitely don’t need big pans, but have been trying to figure out if the mini size is too cramped (especially with the quads). Super excited to watch this!!
That’s a valid concern! I gave away all my minis untouched so I can’t speak from experience about how cramped they are. In the mist witch mini palette there is more space between each shade since they’re separated in the component but the quads are definitely compact lol
i picked up a couple of their singles when they launched last year, and i adore them. i’m on a no/low buy this year, but i reallllly want to get the highlighter palette to use as eyeshadow along with the mini palette!!! omg, if they release the blushes in browns, i’m in trouble!!! you created GORGEOUS looks!!! 🤍🤍🤍

I definitely love love love the colorstories they do but I'm just not interested in buying anything new because I have wayyy too many singles as it is. Even though I think it's incredible that more & more brands are finally coming out with magnetic packaging, it's something I would've been going gaga over 2-3yrs ago! Now I feel like I own every tone ever created, sometimes multiple times over. That's why I focus so heavily on doing dupe/duping the vibes. It absolutely stops me from buying more stuff I don't need. Plus it's so much fun! Thanks so much for all your hard work Riley! 🫶

I haven’t bought anything from Shellwe yet. The highlight palette really tempts me. I love the idea for eyeshadow and brow highlighting. I think I will see about buying singles. Great review, once again. Just one q, @seekingshifts? Do you think/Does it looks like the cover image is removable? I.e. is it a sticker, or part of the rest of the material, I guess. Looking at the mini version. I initially passed 1) b/c I don't care for the designs, but also 2) b/c not enough of the color story called me. If I could remove the cover, making the palette all black, and maybe exchange some of the pans, it might be interesting though. And yes, I know I could remove the pans, but then have to find some empty palette to fit ...
could you also review the terra moons highlighters?
Would other brands' 26mm shades fit into the bigger palette? Like Terra Moon, etc?
Also, as an paleanthropologist/osteologist I find it interesting the skull in the art looks like a chimp, like was that on purpose?
