Cool that you are checking out Glaciers!
Really awesome innovative band but I think they went a bit overboard with the clean vocals and kind of nu-metal style vocal flows on this album.
I absolutely love their two EPs from last year (Heatwave and Cold Soul), on those they used more harsh vocals and has a bit more of traditional thall sound (but still unique).
I strongly recommend you check those EPs out, I think you will enjoy them more than this album.
Bros looking majestic
I personally like this album, but I will say that there are tracks that I haven’t come back to. I actually like the vocals but a lot of the lyrical content in those tracks just lost me tbh. I think that cleans like these work with the thall instrumental here but I do agree with you that the balance of them is vital. Personal highlights for me are the opening track and title track, and I’ve also really enjoyed their prior eps. Great review!
thall
i just listened to this today cause i loved their older eps and the lame lyrics, overuse of cleans and the rap influence parts ruined it for me. the cleans are great but there was very little harsh vocals unlike their older stuff sadly. instrumentally it’s phenomenal tho.
Beautiful music
Good shit bro. Gotta listen to Vivianite new song Textiles it goes hard
The instrumentals fuck but some of those vocals are just a bizarre choice and I can’t get past them
