- This is never before seen footage of Heart in studio 1985 or so. This song "Loves taken over me" to my knowledge has never been released on an album. I do not own the copyright to these images or musical composition. Enjoy. At 3:40 it goes blank. You can jump ahead to 5:00...sorry.

Good lord Nancy is beautiful. And a talented singer. And one of the best guitarists ever. And...
I can't believe what dip shuts are running the sound and larger than that her self control and never losing her train of thought 😳 .....but I smoothie that fuck head should have been fired from any kind or even a long term position somewhere else these tipe o can't play so somehow produce errors get involved 🤔j wold. Just like to say fuck off and don't yell me what to plsy
I bet her pushy at that time was so sweet and her swatch was very most sms m elliptical the room and seats made r room like her pussy
Denny Carmassi on Drums...!!
These were the "Heart" album recording sessions, recorded Jan.-April 1985.
Soooo, SO happy that at least one person mentioned the GREAT Denny Carmassi 🥁
I never get tired of watching Ann & Nancy in the studio. If you have anymore material, please post it!!
My oh my, Nancy is stunning.
Brilliant then and now. No one like Nancy Wilson's Mastery of Guitar. Beyond words. Forever in my Heart.🎸🎵🎶🎼🎤✌🏻🧡
Thanks knownfelon1 in taking the time to upload this hidden gem and sharing it with us. Outstanding job and much appreciated.

12:12 can you imagine how tremendous this would have sounded if it was officially recorded for an album and sung live on stage or at least used in a movie? Horrible mistake to not use this song somewhere. Ann really belts out on this song mid 1980s style when she was at the very top of her still-vibrant game.
beautiful ladies both of them, and talent unmatched
Nancy Wilson is the epitome of a rock musician in every way.
This band was so beautiful, both musically and physically.
12:52
Producer : Wait, how much synth you want on this record again?
The band : Yes.
This tune should be released as a single or something, for it is awesome.
LUV to watch this! This sounds like my era of music!
LOVE Nancy Wilson!!!!
This song LOVES TAKEN OVER ME sounds excellent. The Wilson sisters should get together and do this song sometime this decade..
@knownfelon1.. Thank you for posting this video
The cameraman is in love with Nancy. So would I. ❤
Who wouldn't be? I'm in love with Nancy, lol.
@@brokengirl8619 I've had a crush on her since 1975 lol
I love Nancy but I'm in love with Ann
She's knows how to coil a guitar cable - skillz.
Amazing...i love you Heart...
For some reason this studio looks like Xmas time to me. I wish they had more casual talk among themselves especially from Ann and Howard and Mark and Peter Wolf. You never saw these people in the 1980s except in videos or a concert and never heard them speak especially off record. Heart has truly been the most phenomenal music act ever and their 1976-1988 run was historical but they did not get the proper media coverage like other artists at their high point during the 1980s.
I would agree with that. How come Heart didn't get the same amount of media coverage as other mainstream artist?
@@ashleyparchman8219 the media back then seemed to only care about promoting shitney houston and madonna and tina turner while trying to depict heart as old but tina turner was old and the wilson sisters were not too much of an age difference than madonna so i think music was rigged back then. heart was too white and sounded too good so the media did not glorify them like it did for others.
Davin Gladwell - For the record, I’m a huge Heart fan and I think Ann and Nancy would be first to condemn calling an obvious talent like Whitney Houston, “Shitney”. The woman is also deceased; have some respect, FFS. You can make your point without stooping to that crap or are you just too stupid and immature? Just asking...
@@crusheverything4449 Whitney Houston was a media creation she couldn't paint she couldn't play an instrument she was a failed model with unattractive looks Clive Davis figured he would promote a black woman at all cost. Look at Donna Summer Donna went to see Janis Joplin Donna Summer listen to Jefferson Airplane records there was a talented black woman not Whitney Houston
@@crusheverything4449 they actually soil Donna Summers Legacy by painting her as a black activist when she couldn't wait to get out of the black neighborhood and move to Germany where she listen to Jefferson Airplane and later on went to see Janis Joplin but after her death they depicted her as a black activist which she was not . the media is fake Whitney Houston was fake Tina Turner has zero talent and used white women songs.
Producer Ron Nevison, was the "Brian Wilson" of Heart's "HEART-1985" & "BAD ANIMALS-1987" album days; make absolutely NO doubt about it. Capitol Records executive producers were taking BIG chances with him...and it duly paid off...you know...like 5 times platinum for the "HEART-1985" album? Funny...BOTH Wilson & Nevison made BILLIONS (well...Millions & Millions) for Capitol Records with "PET SOUNDS-1966" & "HEART-1985". They are cultural icon recordings, for sure...but it takes "hard core" producers like a Wilson & a Nevison, to make these recordings...into masterpieces.

Such a gorgeous video aaaaa nancy is so enchanting
Nancy is by far the most perfect blonde ever. So gorgeous. So talented, kick ass.
I love the guitar melody part played by Nancy,This song was never released as s single or on an album, that i know , and I would like to hear the finished product.Do you know of any concerts posted on the Net , by Heart that may have it included. My search comes up empty...shame ! Dana
Dana Brinkmeier The song is called Love Come Over Me or something. There was a video of Ann singing it on CZcams, a few years ago it was awesome but they never included it on their 1985 album for some reason.
yeah it was an unreleased song. think it didn't make the cut when it came to the album. for some reason, i loved the song.
Nancy seems very quiet in the studio
Sorry. There is a period of "nothing" at 3:40 til about 5:00... pls jump ahead.
I love the sound from the 80s! Synthesizers, etc. why can’t we go back to sounding like this? I just don’t like what music has become today. Is rock and roll dead in 2020?
I love the 80s synths, they were mostly if not all analog!
@michaelvillarosa7622 Good call. The brand new KORG DW-8000 being used is a hybrid analog/digital.
Very cool.
Heh, the producer says, "Nancy, can you take off your left boot?" I chuckled, thinking he was making an absurd joke. Then I remembered noticing Nancy keeping time with the 4" spike of her left boot. She was hittin' it so hard that the mic's were picking it up! She kept it on.
Que mujer mas bella y que gran música es.
Nonmusicians might find this entertaining but anyone who has been there is bored out of their mind.
Be professional and deliver the goods when they're asked for.
I love this song! Too bad it was never released.
Why?
This was indeed the age of producer overkill. Did anyone ever think of NOT using a DX-7 in the eighties?
you think THAT was the age of producer overkill? what would you call todays music where even the vocals are looped, dissected, recopied/pasted, and worse of all auto-tuned!?!!
@@vracan Exactly what I was thinking.
jacko and shitney and mcdonna and prince and bon goofy and guns and hoses were the revolting crap of the 1980s take your complaints to them.
This was the era that saved their careers, especially the 1985 album. However they stopped playing those tunes live or just boring acustic. Instead they rather play 4-5cover songs a show. They stopped playing Wind between just had to hear friggin Elton John covers.....they stole money from me in the 2004 JupbDarling tour.
@@vracan I personally think that is due to LACK of a producer. Lol. The artist tends to produce their own garbage these days.
The keyboard player looks like Bill or is it Ted, from the Bill and Ted Excellent Adventures movie! Lol I was waiting for him to go, "Duuuuude, like excellent!" when he made that face when they panned to him ;)
There's also another unreleased song, Victim of Paradise.
Love Heart.
For those who think your band will just show up at the studio and play your songs........ Hard work by all.
Ann and Nancy. Two beautiful women who are fantastic singers. Anns voice overshadowed Nancys, and Nancys looks overshadowed Annes.
@Mark Godfrey I said they were both beautiful. My point is that everyone talks about how beautiful Nancy is way more than they talk about Anns beauty. Everyone goes on and on about Anns voice, but not so much about Nancys voice. They're both beautiful and both have fantastic voices, but Ann gets more fame for her voice, Nancy gets more fame for her beauty. See my point? I never said Ann wasn't beautiful. I'd be lucky to get the time of day from a woman as good looking as Ann.
@@davemiller6055 I think Ann is absolutely stunning. Particularly in the 70s and 80s though she's still beautiful to this day. Nancy is beautiful too (and I love her voice so much) but Ann is much more my type and i have a huge crush on her. It's probably because Nancy is slimmer she gets more attention for her looks. It's crazy to me how Ann was ridiculed for her weight in the mid 80s when to me she looks even better than before! 🤷 In the videos for What About Love, Never and Alone in particular she's just gorgeous. Plus her phenomenal voice makes her eeeeven more attractive. A Goddess ♥️
0:26 That’s what it sounds like when I play guitar. How do they make it sound so good on a record?
Looks like producer Ron Nevison at the end there(?). I think this is from the Bad Animals recording sessions in early '87, would be my guess.
this is the first half of 1985 before this album was released and became a huge hit
Loves Taken Over Me is the song never released!
GEIL
OP says this song was never released. I agree. I would have remembered this - "classic" Nancy chords over a Nancy progression. I love it.
cool

What a hack. Lol This guy is a studio musician?
@@p0llenp0ny What are you complaining about? He's a great drummer and has been on many great records, some of which I'm sure are in your playlist and you don't even know it.
@@p0llenp0ny FYI, that's Denny Carmassi. Need I say more? If so, then you need to do some research.
I can hear Nancy's part better after he makes her switch to the Dean. Was that one in her collection or just a studio guitar?
ImSuperHaute It is an old studio trick to play certain things with a Telecaster in addition to whatever "humbucker" guitar to add bite to the track. These tracks are blended in the mixing process to make one giant guitar sound.
No MIDI ?????
Does the artist know that their very private moments recording music in the studio, are on youtube? Just wondering..
I'm gonna say she clearly knows she's being recorded since she keeps playing with her hair.
bangitsmom ! No disrespect to you, but that's not what Ivan had asked. He's asking if they're aware that this footage is being made available here on CZcams.
The footage was filmed with the intent to be shown. It was just shown over 20 years later than planned.
Seems like this was an isolated camera on Nancy and her guitar work. We don't see any of the other band members until around the 12-minute mark. Parts 2 and 3 must cover Ann and the rest of the band.
My bad, we see them at the 8-minute mark.
It's just some hired guns; not members of Heart.
@@hanleyk WRONG! Denny Carmassi (drums), Mark Andes (bass), Howard Leese (keys) WERE members of Heart then.
Like Keith's telecaster
What year is this? Great sounds here unlike the primitive swampwater sounds heart had on brigade

Nancy at 13:35...hubba hubba.
She was freakn gorgeous! Not that she's a slouch now. But, wow!
Nancy turned age31 March 1985 she could be 30 years old in this video. Ann and Nancy look so cool and pretty here, whoever got to hang around them back then was so lucky.
are you kidding? Nancy Wilson is hardly a slouch , she is still, after the 40 or so years making records, go on tour, record another album, go on tour, she is still beautiful , as is Ann. But, ya know what....how an artist looks is immaterial ...
How frustrating. Just do the damn thing. Waiting on people not ready to do their jobs. Costs MONEY.
So Nancy...tell me there's still a chance....:)
The black guy won?? Boxing match with DonaldCurry I believe.
This has to be their great Ron nevison era the sounds are great here. Brigade sucked and was stone age swampwater music. I love this music here.a rock version of flashdance
Brigade DID NOT suck! You suck for saying such a empty, false lie.
This has already been put on CZcams
Who’s playing keys.
?
Howard Leese (member of Heart, wearing white vest) and Peter Wolf (this is not the Peter Wolf from J. Geils Band, a different Peter Wolf).
Sounds better with the dean guitar
mmm... I could go with either one. The tele is clean & bright & the dean is hotter. I'm gonna go with the tele.
Can't take that much Yamaha DX7 sorry!
That was the 80s. Lmao
12:11 I'd have fired the drummer on the spot for that fucking fill (Phil)
12:10 tremendous. This should have been put on their 1990 album since it did not make it to their 1985 or 1987 albums. Brigade was junk and still is but it pleased stone age dinosaurs who like primitive sounds.
screw all of you tone deaf idiots who thought ''Brigade' sucked. Wild Child was and is a Heart classic rocker.
Bill Randolph I probably would have liked Wild Child if Nevison and Peter Wolf were there for the Brigade album. I think Nevison should have produced the next album after Bad Animals and my contention is if the media gave the proper accolades to Heart for their 1985 and 1987 albums Heart might have kept Nevison for a 3rd album. The media and music industry is rigged to promote the bottom people I first noticed this with how Heart was ignored for their great 1980s music. And it wasn't because they were women because whitney houston and pat benetar and madonna got tons of positive press and radio play.
Davin Dx been a massive Heart fan since the 'Dog & Butterfly' days, seen 'em live 14 times now, and 'Wild Child' is an awesome tune regardless of whomever produced it. Heart has never, and Ann Wilson in particular,, been given the credit they deserve. Heart was not ignored back in the 80's. MTV played their videos, their concerts were sellouts, and they were nominated for Grammy awards more than once. Hardly call that being ignored. If anything, their more recent releases have been ignored much more so than anything they released in the 1980's.
Bill Randolph Heart was ignored by the media from 1985-1988 compared to u2, Madonna , Whitney Houston and mj while being so much more gifted and I still contend they were being ignored from 1980-1982 by the music critics even if they had packed concerts and videos and awesome records. I think heart caved into pressure and criticism and the result was 1990's brigade and not another nevison production.
Heart is much better than all of them..
Come on over and get this kiss, lovely Nancy.
All of the musicians, except for Nancy, are called "hired guns" or "ringers"; LA Studio Musicians; waiting for the phone to ring. They make very good money doing this. The producers know the ones who are professional and can deliver the goods.
Guys like Jeff Pocarro would do multiple sessions in a single day. He's on So many LPs.
To say they are just studio musicians takes away from who they really are and what they've done. You should have done the research. When you do you'll see your errors.
Hanleyk - You are wrong with this lineup.
Drums: Denny Carmassi
Bass: Mark Andes (both with long careers before Heart).
Keyboard: Howard Leese (the only one who was a session musician before joining Heart in the 70s).
This was the lineup of all the hits of the 80s.
like she snorted an eightball or two!
This went no where lol.....
Stop drinking coke..........
:/
From the 80s coke & sold out years, nope.
Yaaawn.. No Roger, no Heart.
Never really knew if Nancy could actually play or how well but I could tell she was good but I see here she's doesn't play like a girl that's for sure ! she can hold her own that's obvious here!
I bet many girls can play better than your sorry ass! Do you seriously have a profile picture of you playing in the 80's?? Can someone say "LOOOOSSSSEEERR"!!!!!!!!
@@sloppyg9185 is that really the best you can do ???!! you complain like a girl though, i bet there's a lot of kids that could complain better than you .... can someone say grow up !! or Mommy Mommy someone on youtube offended me and I'm rewee upset ! whaaaaa!
@@geeveeme All i know is that if you played guitar in the 80's and you had short hair. You were considered a serious Dork! That picture is all i need to know about your Nerd self. I'm sure you've matured real gracefully into your 50's. LOL
Let me correct that. You were considered a serious Dork or you were from New Jersey!!! LOL!!!!!
never seen GOOD it sucks
Oh. This is after founder Roger Fisher was long gone and they'd become a big hair power ballad pop band having many of their songs written by outside people. In other words, post the real Heart that became legendary. Not interested in this lame '80s thing.
thanks for that , I knew this wasn't " Heart",
not the one I know anyway.
nancy looks so good here. you can see lots of women from 1985 with big hair and high boot footwear but they do not look good nor eye catching.
