I think there is a sweet spot, 1s look really good when they are brand new of 9/10+ and then there kinda don't look as good until they get real worn in/beaten, then they look real good again.
I always has this question in mind, wonder if the value would go up or go down when people restore Air Jordan 1 (1985) as a lot of them were obviously worn out, not as nice as brand new ones. After restoration using current technologies, e.g. paint, clean, leather replacement, sole replacement etc, would the shoes still hold the original value (e.g. $20k)?
note that the shoes were from 1985, the value was due to the age, if restorated, a lot of the parts would be replaced by the brand new parts, would the value go down?

For me it would be hard to go with im hard on my shoes so i have air force ones just because they hold up so if i buy shoes yea id expect them to be new to hold up but at the same time iv worn shoes that were broken in and used slightly used but if i got the vintage sneaker idk if id ware them or not if i find a pair from 93 at a reasonable price ill see compared to a 2016 or 2013

Super cool video! Thought you might want to know - you said bred was the first colorway to release. It was the first colorway made for Jordan, but the first colorway to release to the public was actually the royal. It was Jordan's favorite (he liked blue from UNC) and wanted to wear it in the NBA but Jordan Brand wouldn't let him. They compromised by releasing that colorway first.

I have AJ 8 aqua from 1993 my first air jordans, size 9 and I have them for two games semifinals and finals which we won and become best primeschool basketball in country, since then they were wrapped and taking care of, so they still looks like new. After that I mostly play in Air force CB or Nike Air flight Scottie Pippen 93,94 black and white and white and red. Somewhere I have Jordan Fligh Club 91 in Gray Silver and purple, size 12 but they are stiff and it's more likely size 11.
This is wow what you have there, but you guys is US can find gems like this more easily than we are here in Europe. BTW I also have Kobe Bryant Adidas shoes I think it's 97 or 96 also my pair. But just like you I'm addicted to shoes, basketball, skateboard, running, trail running, cycling and casual, can't live without shoes.
