I liked the 360 departure. Sam Hooten would have been proud. 😂
I actually got to be on the LZ where the H.E.C. Was taking place on the power lines when two linemen took flight and I have a great friend who loves flying the MD-500 and let me tell you that you better know how to hover for a very long time because it’s all about control and having to look to your left with your head on a point as you maneuvering from one position to another point and transport them the tools they need and you better be ready for what if at all time and hours of flying of the day between 10- 12 hours and depending on the work that has to be done on schedule.
Ferrari of the Sky.
We watched it for a while over the power lines that feed Pittsburgh.
This helicopter N500LK belongs to Chesapeake Bay Helicopters. They’re an outfit based in KPVG Hampton Roads Executive Airport in Chesapeake VA. They operate a few 206s as well and an R44 I believe. They do all sorts of things like LiDAR, pipeline patrol, and photography just to name a few.
Hit the Like button love to own this WOW,,,Its the sports car heli ...
I’m a old time man now (66) I worked Alaska the pipe line in my C and trust me I miss her I once was bored and I pulled inverted flight she never broke a sweat the most beautiful helicopter ever made
Thanks. As of yet I only have hours in the 300 but the 500C is my inspiration and favorite.

Clickbait is right, I filmed it so it must be awesome. What people will do for views.
The most beautiful machine ever built I love Alison turbine only cuz I know them bit by bit.
Who can land in a forest opening with your rotor blades just about touching the trees and pull up collective and she abided what a beautiful helicopter
Haha, just remember to Scotch-Brite the leading edges before the boss sees it! 😂
I once got signed off on a 206 I thought I was going to sleep trusty bird but no torque I even had time to smoke a cigar but I was still flying
I think it’s Haverfield
Holy Shit, where was this? I flew Mohawks quite some time ago.
The Tower was closed. This was just by happenstance, although they saw me filming them earlier, which is the meaning of the title. I was expecting him to do recommended profile takeoff down the runway, and he suddenly made a mini-airshow out of it. Filmed at KBVI, Beaver County Airport outside of Beaver Falls PA USA.
That’s a post maintenance test flight. Then they find the most weight they can find to test the power. In this case the fat woman is a great test of the engine power.
Where's the passenger brief ? That open rear with a pax and a big bag of junk. That's how Pete G. balled up his 500,
A coat flew out and tangled with his tail rotor over the hills - He plus 3 maneuvered over power lines and picked a loan tree on top of a clear hill (the only spot) Spearing his 500 on a branch, It then tumbled ass over tea kettle to the edge of a dry creek.
Light injury to one the rest walked away... Nothing left of the helicopter . . .
it wasn't even awesome, a bit lame really
looks more like an MD530F model
@@nocalsteve Yes, the different frames on the lower front windscreen is a giveaway.
@@geertzwager1309 that's wrong too. those have nothing to do with it. I've seen both styles on either model. the way to tell is a little intake vent underneath towards the aft part of the fuselage , just beneath the exhaust.
if it's an 83 then there's no "MD" in the title. it's an 1983 Hughes 500 E.. still looks and sounds good.. the only one close to that age I know if that's still in the air regularly is our police depts S&R helicopter. a 1984 Hughes 530F. serial number, 00009.. one of the first and only a handful of F models built while it was still called Hughes.
Lame
🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮👉👎
It's a fun aircraft to fly. Just like a magic carpet. The lift and airspeed is one of my favorites.
