The spikey skull space marines. Iornically, the right leg of the armour for the presumably still-loyal legionnaire first pictured looks more diseased and infected than rusted or damaged by firearms. It's all blood shed by enemies/victims, I'm sure, and why am I suddenly reminded of Splatterhouse?
Cut straight to the base practicality of astartes warmaking like Silence cutting to and through the bone. The Death Guard's simplicity of arms in mass murder as Loyalists is ironic considering their later adoption of ever more complex diseases, viruses and biological ailments as Traitors for Nurgle. Before knowing specific tactics, I could've guessed that the XIVth Legion preferred, even enjoyed, up close and personal hack 'n slashing with handheld blades. Picture a long line of Jason Vorhees in power armour advancing unheeded in ghastly massacre. The Mortus Poisoners are what I'd expect of the grisly harshness of Mortarion's legion.
Yep, pretty direct in legion operation so that they could devote themselves to their death bringing. “...But one entity, with a single purpose and body”...like a virus. Hearing of such specialty assignments causes me to try to imagine and want to hear tales of Mortarion leading the cleansing of space hulks. I'll be interested to hear of the other two Death Guard specialist units in a forthcoming video, too. In the meantime, as ever you have my thanks for this ongoing series, GDN. And my wishes to you for another awesome and healthy week to come. The Emepror protects.

The Scythes of the Emperor, the Mortifactors and the Doom Eagles.
Which of the three is worthy of being the new XIV Legion?
One thing that makes me think of the Scythes of the Emperor as the new XIV Legion are the Nurgle Tyranids, Genestealers and Hexwraiths (because of their symbol).

Raised by villagers and fighting Necromancers, Loyalist Mortarion discovers and strengthens his power as a Psyker, later giving personal teaching to his own Librarians.
In Nikaea, although a truly disciplined Psyker, he himself speaks out against Magnus and his ideas.
Logically then, how does Mortarion defend himself from the points made against him and demonstrate the harsh difference between the Psykers/Librarians of the Death Guard and those of the Thousand Sons?
