    This is about the best demo of a guitar I have seen. Great filming, narration and playing. Unlike most demos, the player (who is very good) chose music to demonstrate the potential of the guitar, instead of showing off his own ability. I appreciate this. Actually the demo has put me over the top to buy this model. Thanks.

    from all the vintage series, this is the one

    I think the newer vintage series are much more truer to the originals than the Fullerton attempt in 1982.

    "The iconic "in-between" sounds that were discovered accidentally and didn't exist on the original Strats." ;-)
    Great demo as usual. Brilliant sounding guitar.

    Had my heart set on the sonic blue rosewood neck 59 but think I might opt for this one. Sure sounds and looks great.

    The only thing I don't like about these new reissues are the pale looking necks

    • @MH-lh1bf
      @MH-lh1bf Před 2 lety +2

      Well that’s how they came new. Mine is a few years old now and the „pale“ turned into a beautiful yellowish tint. If u are a smoker the yellowing should occur even quicker 😅

    I don't have a problem with it being there. I just have a problem with Fender saying it it the most accurate recreation of the vintage guitar as humanly possible when we all know it's not. So why put it there? Same thing with the tone for the bridge pickup. IRC it wasn't on the original 56 strat so why put it there either. If it was 56 "inspired" then no problem putting these convenient "upgrades" there. But "The real deal" 56 strat, you should stay true to it.

  • @charmanderstail

    You could still get them with a 3 way.

    What's the difference between the ash body and alder body for tone?

    • @murfdog19
      @murfdog19 Před 9 lety

      Not much. There is quite the debate over whether different woods have any effect on tone. I believe there are very subtle differences. But, in a solidbody electric guitar, 90% of your tone is in the pickups, bridge and amp.

    5-way switch on a 56 strat? Either go all the way or don't say you do.

    Surely by now you must be realizing catering to the corksniffer / toneboner crowd is a losing proposition. You might as well be selling to young earth creationists.

  • @UmbertoRonco
    @UmbertoRonco Před 9 lety +1

    Fender makes a big mistake making those guitar with a 9.25 radius and big frets because the real vintage guitars have 7.25 radius and smaller fret! The paradox is that maxican made classic 50 is more accurate.
    Learn fron gibson that make a perfect replica of the 59! I'm not saing that ar not good guitar actually are more playable but absolute not vintage style

    • @longturn99
      @longturn99 Před 9 lety

      Might want to check the specs again American Vintage is 7.25 radius. Trynig to a compare a 6k Gibson Les Paul re issue with a 2k american vintage strat?? different ball park I think

    • @UmbertoRonco
      @UmbertoRonco Před 9 lety

      Yes you have right about the specs.
      But the luthery of a gibson is so different from fender i don't find mani difference from a mexican standar an an american one apart laquer finish tha age better

    • @UmbertoRonco
      @UmbertoRonco Před 9 lety

      Fender si only two peaces of wood screwed together so the equivalent of a 6k riessue in fender have to be 2k

      According to fender, these 56 models have the 7.5" radius.
