Thanks for posting this information. I brought home a rare 1980 Hankin The Empire strikes back pinball last night and this video helps as it's my 1st ever Pinball machine! and the one I've always wanted besides KISS. Greetings from Sydney 🇦🇺🇺🇸

I actually have a friend help me set it onto a couple of cardboard boxes that are a little taller than height of what the machine would be with its installed legs. Then I simply screw them on while it’s safely “floating” in midair. After all 4 legs are securely on I gently lift each end of the machine and kick out the boxes. I also remove the precious back glass first just in case anything unexpectedly goes wrong like a leg failing etc..I’ve even put a big box on a floor jack and jacked it up, installed the legs then lowered the jack back down to set it back down on its own legs. Then pull out the box and the floor jack. It is a friend assist method though.

You forgot to say "take the ball out when moving"! That's the most important step!

You seem to move effortlessly with this heavy machine. You are very lucky to have a body that cooperates. I wouldn't have a chance.

Instead of my leg I use a small stool to rest the machine on when putting on the back legs. I'd rather have the stool break than my leg :D

Leg levellers on a pin are ALWAYS gonna be bad. When you nudge, guess what little guys take all the force? Yup, those skinny bolts and skinny threads. They will be stripped on an old pin, making them hard to extract to start with. Chop them off, fit new levellers regardless.

I do a similar move with putting the machine on my knee. I find that I am a little short so if I put a 2 x 4 on the ground and put my foot on it my knee is tall enough to put the legs on.

Awesome! So just reverse the process to teardown I suppose?

Love your demeanor. Like the Bob Ross of pinball lol. My videos tend to contain my fluent sarcasm. Do you have an email address I can reach you with? Thanks again?

Hey. Thanks. I'm working on getting more pin related videos out but I have a couple little projects I need to to bang out first.

Wow that Genie backglass really is minty fresh!! I would have mentioned the little plastic feet on the back of the machine and the top of the Genie head as to that's how you set it down on the ground when tearing down
