We need to know that they are doing their job, and MOST AMERICANS don't feel that way about her anymore. It is NOT NOBLE, nor is it vital, for her to stay on like she thinks it is. If she can't hack it, AND SHE CLEARLY CANNOT HACK IT, then she needs to retire. Period.

I remember being surprised the issue came up at all given Nina Totenberg is more RBG groupie than she is actual journalist. I admire her determination and her dedication to the job I am not sure if I trust the future of our country to an elderly lady who is starting to fail though, I mean no disrespect I get that she is one of the greats who was in her time many more times than what I am right now she was amazing in her time but everything Grows Old and they need to accept that eventually it is time to move on honestly I like people like this even though they are old and brittle they still serve the cause and attempt to achieve whatever they feel is the greatest thing they could in their time left on Earth.

No matter what she’s been through she will never know what it’s like for the average American suffering cancer. Why? Because most of us die. Most of us don’t have the money for the care required. I know a young man right now that suffered an accident and is paralyzed .. in his home with his children & wife; and has absolutely no aftercare & Lives in pain and has no funds for simple needs. She will never be able to help the common person until we all have insurance that matches hers! Every American should be fully covered and we need to send back the overflow of invaders while we take care of our own first. Until the corruption is sifted out of our government

That comment was both stupid and crude. Apparently you aren't aware that SC justices are appointed for life. At some time or another, almost all of them miss work, sometimes for an extended period. In addition, there is much work they can do even while in a hospital, as RBG did. You must have spent your life in a common labor job which requires your physical presence every day. Most of a SC justice's job is done at a desk, or wherever he/she chooses to do it. A conference call can handle meetings.
Also, the Supreme Court is in recess for over half the work days of the year. And if you're concerned about the SC not having nine sitting justices, then did you complain about how McConnell prevented Obama from appointing a justice for something like 11 months? Because of him the SC had only eight justices for over a year.
It usually takes months before someone can return to work after pancreatic cancer surgery. Ginsberg was back to work in 18 days. Her recent month of absence due to lung cancer is by no means the longest in SC history, and she hasn't missed any votes. Maybe you should educate yourself on this matter and realize that SC justices aren't manual laborers.

Her relationship with Scalia was unbelievable and goes to show how two people who have different views can be civil and even the best of friends
