  • A legend by any standard, Clarke won 2 Stanley Cups, 3 Hart Trophy's, a Selke and is on any list of the greatest NHL players of all-time. Lindros also won hardware for Canada in Olympics, World Championships & the famous 1972 Summit Series.
Lots to dig into with this legend.

This was a real treat thank you. I'm from south Jersey and my dad had season tickets from 68-78 and saw both cups and the Russian game in 76. I actually myself went to quite a few games with my dad in the early to late 70's as a kid and i will tell you there was nothing like getting to the Spectrum running through the turnstiles up to the opening where you could see the ice and see the Broad Street Bullies preskate before the game. Talk about excitement and awe. You could even see my dad's excitement because he knew they were a great team. I still have a vivid memory of that and these guys were Gods among the people in the Philly area and south Jersey. You just don't know...they gave people so much hope and something to believe in. It was a very special time. My dad said that Bobby Clarke was the greatest athlete he'd ever seen because he never gave up even if they were down 7-2 with two minutes left Bobby played as if they could still win the game. My dad said Bobby Clarke was the Flyers. Thee Flyer.
