I was all set out to buy a condo until I saw that you need to not have a private property before getting a HDB for about 15 to 30 months. So you'd still have to rent anyway. Thanks for making this video

I don't see the upgrade or downgrade ranking that suggest one is better than the other as though there is only 1 yardstick (for own stay purposes). going to HDB can be an upgrade in size , location at a lower price point. it's just a different property type considering many condos, like HDB, are also leaseholds with paper lifespan. Great point on the MSR 'forced' lower mortgage loan size for servicing HDB loans.
