Back in the day, i brought this tune to my guitar teacher..he listened to it twice (while taking multiple bong hits lol) and then proceeded to blow my mind. He hummed the lyrics while perfectly playing the song..to this day i still cant lol

😳 I adore this song and I've thought many times that I should look up how to play it... now with the knowledge gained from this excellent tutorial, I know to save it for a day I have four hours (at LEAST!) to dedicate to it! Haha thanks for tackling it!

I watched this whole thing and for the life of me can't remember ever hearing this song. Now I gotta go listen to what you think there's a chance I could learn.
Edit: Okay- Back from a listen to the track and the guitar parts are pretty and cool, but I have to admit the bass line sucked me in. And I don't even think I could keep up with that. No chance I could keep up on guitar.

Thanks for being honest. This is a very hard song to learn especially since I heard it for the first time on your site. I'm trying to visualize by looking at tablature on ultimate guitar so I can get it by ear and piece together the phrasing of the lyrics. It's not going well but I will persist. His phrasing is what makes it interesting and between that and the picking it's a challenge because there is no obvious pattern. I might have to declare defeat on this one because my ear is not that good and I think to play this you need to listen and hear it.
I think this is a great song. I have been playing the guitar for a living for 20 years and I think that perfecting this song the way he played it would require 5 years of undivided attention. Pick your favorite parts and just play it that way!
@@RyanLendt The ultimate guitar tabs are wrong. He started the verse on G and that was screwing up the bass note timing and the phrasing of the lyrics big time. Your's are much better. I'm going to hand copy them cuz I don't have a printer and hopefully the song should piece together correctly now. Thank you. I was in a dead end on the ultimate guitar version and couldn't figure out why. It's 90% correct but it really has to be spot on or it won't work Thanks again.
