Just one little thing, which might I want to clarify. "The little rubber thing for extra protection" is a Silicone seel to trap the air in between the liner and the shaft, so that there is a vacuum. That vacuum is keeping the prosthetic on there.

It’s cool to learn what you do as well, as I don’t see my dad all that much and differing experiences between two people.

Imagine you're having a bad day, just a lot of little things piling up and you're not happy. But then your pocket gets caught on a door handle or something. If you know the feeling, imagine that but instead your prosthetic leg fell off. I would be beyond angry at that point
i don't think it'd be a good idea, with a suction socket i feel like it would effect the seal with a pin locking socket I'd worry it'd gum up the mechanics of the lock.

My great grandfather had a prosthetic leg and he would always tell us about the time that he was bowling and his leg spun around so that his foot was backwards. A lady screamed and fainted because she couldn’t he was wearing pants and she couldn’t see that it wasn’t his real leg 😂
For some reason, I always thought that they had a bolt in your stump and then you just put a bolt through it and then you would be in constant pain as you walk and then it would shove the socket up in your stump
I mean I used to do that for my robotic characters that used to be human but it's because uh... their bodies are made out of fucking metal there is no pain receptors
