    Hey Guys! I hope everyone is doing well. I recently switched video editing software and I’m exited to produce better videos for you.
    I apologize about the audio quality, I cleaned my helmet and the microphone didn’t sound as good when I recorded this video. Hopefully I’ll have this fixed for the next video.
    Thanks for watching & ride safe!

    I'm 67 and bought my used TW last year. When I went to State Farm to insure it they quoted me $17. I said is that per month? They said, no that's per year. When I asked if that includes theft they said no, that would raise it to $25. Per year!

    one cool tidbit is that if you ever destroy the engine, track down the motor from a yamaha xt 225. it pretty much bolts up in place of the old motor. it has more power and a 6th gear. if you get a specific model year then you don't even need a new clutch cable. depending on gearing it ups the top speed to around 84 mph.

    • @MostroMoto
      @MostroMoto  Před 3 lety +3

      If only Yamaha would take everyone’s advice and bump up the engine displacement just a bit + another gear! I didn’t know it was possible to do that, but if there’s ever a day where I need to replace the engine I would certainly give that a try!

    Keep in mind that when oil changes are recommended at 3000 miles, you can go twice that much if you're using synthetic oil. The recommendations are way underrated. In Europe they double the mileage between oil changes. Oil is much better than it was in the 1950s when all these recommendations came about. Don't change it every 1500 miles. The oil is still good if you go to 6000 miles.

      @MostroMoto  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey thanks for watching! I definitely think that this is a great bike for a beginner rider. And it’s something you can keep for a while and grow into. The power is nothing crazy, but plenty to learn on. It’s a great bike to learn how to work on motorcycles because of how simple it is. And it has a pretty low weight & seat height so it’s something you could learn how to manage. It is a bit smaller compared to other bikes but it’s still a full sized motorcycle so just keep that in mind. If you can go to the dealership and sit on one I would recommend that. But overall it’s a great bike, and when your old enough to get your license it’s perfect for taking the class & test with. Also because it has been around forever you can find so many parts for cheap. So if you ever drop it or want to customize it it won’t be to expensive! I’m considering getting this or a segway X260 Ebike. Which one would be better?

    • @MostroMoto
      @MostroMoto  Před 2 lety +1

      That is funny you mentioned that bike. I was also looking into that at one point. It honestly depends on where you live and what you need it for. For commuting in a city the Segway would be great for short rides. But it does have a very limited range. Also some city’s don’t allow certain E-bikes. The TW200 is far more capable, and will allow you to travel much farther. But you will also need a motorcycle license, registration and insurance.
      The Segway seems like a great bike but it does come with its downsides. Either way I’m sure you would love whichever you go with!

    • @MostroMoto
      @MostroMoto  Před 2 lety +1

      They are both great bikes. However the KLX will be something you can grow into and still have good power. The TW200 is a bit slower but more forgiving to new riders. Also it’s a tank off-road!
