- This is the ending part where Balki says to open presents. They open their presents. Larry gets back the Christmas feeling. The tree lights come on miraculously. Larry says that he's not missing Christmas with his family and friends because Balki is there.

As a kid this was a throwaway scene for me.
As an adult with a kid of my own, it really hurts that TV shows don't have this level of Heart anymore.
This is so precious and pure. No politics. No tiptoeing around the PC. They could talk about Christmas and baby Jesus and it was totally okay. This warms my heart!!
They're just mentioning the politics you agree with ;) Don't get me wrong, I love this scene, but to say it is devoid of politics is nonsense.

This one scene is a tear jerker for real! This is more touching and emotionally driven than all the emotionally manipulative scenes of Full House.

I just bought some and a walkman from a thrift store. Digital is convenient but i like physical media.
This is a tiny proof why Perfect Strangers is the best sitcom ever. Nothing will ever top it. The acting is brilliant, and it can be as much emotional as it's funny in many episodes.
Just recently I purchased the whole show on Microsoft Store, and now after watching this video I can finally quit my CZcams session for today and go to bed!

I remember this episode, especially when Balki reminds Larry of how those of his former profession were the first ones to get the news of the birth of Christ.

I’ve watched this episode every Christmas for like 5 years and have to leave the room every time during this scene and watch from the kitchen, because it hits me like a ton of bricks every time.
I was rather young when this show aired but my mom would record every episode on VHS and we would re-watch each episode several times, often rewinding the funny bits over and over. Wish we could go back

I will treasure Perfect Strangers. Growing up here in the Philippines in my teens.. they embody friendship...
To me, the best part of this scene is when Balki said that his camp was the first group of people to get the news about the birth of our lord and savior. (smiles)

I remember this episode as a kid. Larry's original holiday plans went to shit after finding out that they were snowed in. He thought Christmas was ruined. Balcey proved him wrong. Good episode.

Such a fantastic show. It’s poignant but without being sappy. It’s a very tough balance to pull off, and PS managed it better than most. The two leads being experienced stage actors probably helped.
