  • Here in the UK we do not get a Vector Stabiliser with the Arrows Hawk or T33 - but now you can buy them as Upgrade items - quite cheap but need a little work to get them installed - Hope this video proves useful for UK Pilots....

      good to hear - The T33 is a great little edf - and the Vector although not really needed if you have Intermediate flying skills - is a good little Gyro - good luck with it and thanks for your feedback.

      @@FlankerTanker Very pleased you like the model Martyn. Had to add some balance to your comment. Hope you don't mind. In truth, the lack of gyro in the UK version is more to keep the price lower on an aeroplane that, in the most part, doesn't really need the stabilisation. Same with the T-33 and Viper. Most people are finding that they don't need / want the gyro so we feel the decision was probably justified. It's absolutely not about ripping people off. We're modellers too and very passionate about the products we sell. Rest assured, we'll keep practicing the evil laugh and stroking white cats, just in case!

      Hi Bill - I agree - the only ones I have found that can be are the FMS Reflex V2 Gyros - FMS have a PC programme that will allow you to down load the pre set code for a lot (but not all) of the aircraft they sell/make - this allows you to move a gyro between aircraft types and all you need to do is download the correct code...

    Your plane keeps saying that as3x mode is on but I thought that was spectrum specific .
    Although you're using the arrows vector it still says as3x mode and that's. Normal is it ?
    I'm planning on getting this plane and it says it comes with the vector .
    I am planning on using a fr sky receiver and bind it to my Radiomaster.
    Is it the exact same process do you know ?

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  Před 25 dny

      The sound comes for the TX - and I set it to say AS3X for "Wind Adjustment" and SAFE " for self righting" - other brands use other terms but they all do the same thing Vector, Reflex, etc.... so I stick with calling them AS3X and SAFE - I do not use fr sky or Radiomaster - I only use Spektrum equipment, but I would think as Arrows use an external gyro (the Vector) the set up is the same for any RX/TX.. I use Spektrum 100% these days as some of the RX models contain and inbuilt Gyro system (SAFE & AS3X), I am also a fan of the Wireless RX -Such as the AR410, 620,630(from 630 upwards they all come with built in gyro)...

    Brill set up video, however, I'm searching for info on how to boot the model ,at the airfield, prior to launch. I have the Bigfoot, when it's sat on all wheels, the nose is very high, or should the tail be raised and supported, so that the model is level? I hope the Vector will assist my early flights, but i can't find anyone who explains the actual start up proceedure.

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  Před 2 lety +1

      The vector units do not need any special Boot - unlike some such as ORX Gyros that need you to hold the aircraft level - the vector units do not need it - they are pre-programmed for each aircraft type - for example - I have a Arrows Husky - it came with a vector unit installed - apart from connecting it to the RX - there is nothing else to do - this video was made as the Connections for the 50mm EDF jets T33 and Hawk vectors are NOT the same as a standard Vector unit - FYI - the Vector unit is the same type of Gyro as the FMS Reflex unit, these also do not need any special boot.(as in they do not need the aircraft to be held level)...

      Assign a 3-position switch to channel 5. Plug the "Bus" wire into your receiver channel 5. Also if you just want to use a 1-wire serial connection to your receiver (S-bus - on the Bus Input wire to the Vector) you should know that these Chinese stabilizers need channel order AETR NOT TAER.
