I cross mountains,
Civilizations begin and end with me,
Cities are built and destroyed with me,
Since the existence of the world, I've always been here.
People gather for me, they become enemies for me,
They build great walls to capture me, but I slip through their fingers.
I travel all around the world,
Some places I visit less frequently,
For some places, I dress up in elegance and cleanliness.
Every year, people spend 40 million hours to reach me,
I stand before millions of people with dirt and microbes,
Thus, they are infected with epidemic diseases.
More than seven million people lose their lives because they can't reach me.
Yes, unfortunately, I am the main cause of drought.
Wars start because of me,
Countries' borders are drawn with me,
People harm each other to reach me,
Where I am absent, there's death and misery; where I am present, there's life and prosperity.
Without me, money is meaningless,
Without me, millions of children leave their education to search for me.
Maybe they find me...
But most of the time, I am found in a dirty state...
Young or old, rich or poor, beautiful or ugly, whoever it may be,
No one can live in any place where the Sun rises and sets without me.
I am much more than you think.
I am the common language of life.
