Wait.. This movie actually existed?! I didn't have a fever dream when I was 4? Holy cow.
4?! LOL- I saw this in theatres. Thanks for making me feel old.
Synthetic Humanoid I’M SORRY ;A;
Ha! Made me laugh.
My 11-year-old self definitely had fun watching this. Just because she could change her hair and outfit which was cool.
i LOVE the style and aesthetic of this movie, i genuinely want a sequel or remake with better worldbuilding and characters
I start school tomorrow and my social anxiety disorder is getting the best of me and I am calming myself down by watching your videos. Thank you, I can't even thank you enough. You give me so much warmth and laughters. Thank you. I hope you're good! Wish me luck.
Here's a belated good luck!
I suffered 23 stitches in my face, two stab wounds, my nose broken a dozen times from gang violence, and daily violence in my own household during junior high school... If social anxiety is what you fear, then imagine what it feels like to lie in a pool of blood while passers by laugh and spit on you 2-3x a year.
That being said... I hope you are having a wonderful and peaceful school year! May all your fights be one on one.
@@TexZenMaster :( I hope you are in a better place TexZenMaster, nobody deserves that.
@@mowganashwey After being "jumped" by groups of gang members >200 times between ages 10 and 16, my family finally moved to a better side of town. No longer was I persecuted for being white or for obeying the law. (both of which are mortal sins in the 'hood')
These days, I own and operate two group homes for the elderly and disabled and can, essentially, craft my own environment; Both for them to live in as well as myself. There is no violence in my homes. (aside from the occasional outburst from the 2x schizophrenic patients every once in a while, but I am always the one to calm them or catch the scissors before they stab)
Many pets, much cuteness, often humor, and acute medical care... That is what I offer these people and that is what I desire in life.
If they ask about my facial scars, I answer honestly. One elderly black tenant told me "I'm so sorry for what they did to you." I responded "Don't you dare." I went on to explain that all blacks aren't responsible for what happened to me and all whites weren't responsible for what happened to her. Over the next few years, she fixed me the best cornbread I've ever had. It was like cake.
I apologize for the long response; I haven't met a black person that has experienced more racism than myself and it is always a sensitive topic. God bless.
Social interactions come more naturally to some, but like most things it can also be learned or improved with practice. From a fellow introvert, it gets much easier with time and now (for me) is almost completely anxiety free. Plenty of good advice out there, my only one is to not give into the anxiety. Face it and it will diminish, run from it and it will increase.
7:07 "Do not attempt to move, or we will be shooting ourselves."
I actually liked this movie. Sort of nostalgic for me.
@Ebiegberi Adonkie This movie predicted the pandemic and what the world will look like after all this shit is over.....
@@kcmcclary569 I was looking for this comment ☝🏽!! No one wants to believe or research predictive programming.
@@billionaire2370 like I used to laugh at this damn movie but I realize that it really and I mean really hits different now like 10-15 years from today our world may look and function very similarly to violets and it's chilling.
GAY
i just saw it and it's not nostalgic for me but i still liked it a lot!
What a lot of people don’t know it there is the rated version theatrical cut and then the un rated version extended cut and the un rated extended cut makes a whole lot more sense then the rated version it goes into more detail
Kawaii Girl I'm going to look for that
I never knew that, I'll have to look for it and watch it.
Now I wanna look for it too
@@theNewBee do a mini review if you do!
The theatrical version went completely ham on the storyline.
That villain was pretty pathetic.... as was this movie. Great review man...
I'll always remember her from the Fifth Element...quite a woman.
Great review. I actually loved this damn movie. I probably watch it once a year. I think it's one of those movies you have to walk into expecting a bit of a video game.
Same. This is one favourite movies, and I don't think it's good, but hey, I love it.
the duck hunt reference was fantastic😄😁
Okay, the Earth Vader, midichlorian bit absolutely killed me. This is definitely in my top 5 NewBee!
So mila jovavich is incapable of playing a different type of character isnt she
I dunno, she was a weird Russian henchwoman in Zoolander
Well, she played the evil witch in the new Hellboy... Where she played an unstoppable and violent character...surrounded by CGI...with very little emotive response... Never mind.
He did a different character when she played Joan of Arc.
You know I have stuff to do, like productive stuff. Yet here I am again binging more of your videos. thank you.
there was a lot of studio interferance with the original cut being 125 minutes long and slashed haphazardly down to 88 mins
this movie and the live-action Aeon Flux always meld together in my memory, I feel like they're a LOT alike
the fire sword fight in complete darkness, thats where game of thrones came up with the idea
Most underrated channel
As a kid I thing Ultraviolet is so badass!! Still Iconic for me✨
I loved it, what can I say. I've watched it a bunch and I'll watch it again.
This movie and aeon flux are guilty pleasures of mine lol
-Catwoman (2004)
-Aeon Flux (2005)
-Ultraviolet (2006)
My personal trilogy of guilty pleasure.
I can see that some people would find this movie too “artificial looking” but I caught this one years ago on tv & I unashamedly admit - I Loved it! Even if Mila Jovovich has “disowned” it, I still have a soft spot for it.
I actually liked this movie a lot. A whole, in fact. It’s very unique and interesting. I guess It’s not for everybody.
This was the coolest shit for me as a kid
Scarlett Johansson and Milla Jovovich are my two favorite actresses. I love the Ultra Violent I wish they make part two.
Jerrick Cole I wish
How? Have u seen the cgi?
@@KRYPTIC05 the movie is literally from 2006. what do u expect from that year? plus. the entire film was set in late 21st century. specifically 2076 or 2078. the plot is clearly understandable cause they already literally said everything right from the start of the film.. plus it's a sci-fi action film... come on... y'all just hate this film to death cause many said it, and y'all can't even point out anything about this film except the cgi when it's clearly understandable why the cgi looks like that.
@@encarnacionrommel4001 dude……TRANSFORMERS CAME OUT 1 YEAR AFTER THIS MOVIE!!!! Look at transformers cgi. Dude. The cgi takes me out of this movie. It’s so bad that I can’t enjoy it. And yeah it’s not about cgi that makes it good but this is a theater movie. Not a direct to dvd crap.
@@KRYPTIC05 didn't u understand what I just said? I said that the entire movie takes place at LATE 21ST CENTURY... specifically 2076 or 2078. the CGI is clearly normal cause the movie is literally from the future and has futuristic elements and concept. " Hello. My name is Violet and I was born into a world you may not understand." how's that line hard to understand?
I love that you reference Kids in the Hall a lot. I love those goofy Canadian bastards and I always will!!!!
Keeping making these amazing videos!
I think this story would’ve made a good comic book.
Oh man the Duck Hunt sounds killed me lmao so good awesome video as always
Also, I'm re-watching again because OMG I LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU SAID ELEVEN IS AWESOME. I STAN.
The little boy also appears in Mass Effect 3. He is the boy from Commander Sheppard's halucinations.
I could never stop mixing up Ultraviolet with Aeon Flux
I see that
Congrats on the climbing sub count.
Watching this in 2020. Your comedic timing was ahead of its time.
I am new to watching him and I gave the video a chance and my god.. this man is a golden rare find.
I bought this movie as a teen and it's just one of those show to my friends type of things, but some of the moments in it could be so much better. It's cheddar cheese to hell and back, but can be a lot of fun.
To me this movie could have been made better. Milla is so freaking hot to me loved seeing her in that all white. I like how her hair and clothes changed colors. I like pocket space tech
I love that when she cuts all those vamps down you see he's and body parts fly off but then they're all whole actors laying on the ground in a circle around her.
Did you review Blade? I might have to beg for that review, pleeeeease!
Your witty remarks at the bad stuff in your reviews is too much. 😂 Good stuff man good stuff.
Ultraviolet is one of my favorite movies. Everyone hates it but I adore it
It’s a interesting movie
A certified sci-fi cult classic in the same vein as The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. Made more relevant in the current pandemic era.
I don't really see a problem with the movie having stylised action scenes. That's what makes it so charming to begin with. It's still a cheesy movie but I have so much fun watching this woman singlehandedly beat the shit out of mercenaries on a motorcycle.
Still a better story than Twilight.
Love how u said frak to the Hemophage shizzle, just when u got through xD
4:15 The general term for that is "hammerspace" (in reference to Tex Avery cartoons).
5:04 She's not flying. She's manipulating gravity.
13:22 Serrations are pointless on a sword. Just watch Skallagrim and Shadiversity.
This looks awful. Thanks for putting yourself through this.
it’s not that bad, just cheesy.
@@bluevlade Ultraviolet is a cheesy sci fi film of 2006 like Eragon. I really saw Scott Pilgrim vs the World looks good, and Ultraviolet is terrible. See no evil. Hear no evill. Speak no evil. But, the kids loved Prehysteria!
It is awful! More style over substance. You have to be a big Milla Jovovich fan to get through this one. You can't help but think this movie is just an excuse for Milla Jovovich to show off her midriff!
It's easy just search things on imdb lol
Uh..... Atomic Blonde and Ultraviolet are girl movies. Because many women love action movies, ones starring women should be girl movies. If guys get guy movies, then I want the kick ass women movies.
My friend made me watch this last year and I still don’t get it. Fun for you to review it! So random
Love your comments / review edit.
Going to just press like on each video I see from your channel!
I love this movie. Not for the plot but for the Outfits of the Security guards
This movie actually looks dope
It wasnt that bad.
It’s fucking awful. But others seem to like it so if you require no good dialogue, plot, acting or even common sense you may love it 👍
Aww man this used to be my favorite movie when I was like 10...it hasn’t aged well😭
9:55 One of those guys is played by the director, Kurt Wimmer.
And...he is a man now. Loved these jokes you use. Amazing sense of humor
You: Did everyone get that?
Me: No, obviously this is a world I might not understand. Duh.
OK, stylisticly I , love it...was even able to swallow the teck, right up to the pocket dimension briefcase....
Bingeing your channel. Love your humour and style.
Great review! It was so funny! This is still one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies though. As a fan of Milla's action flicks I love the fight scenes in this one. That CGI can be date though oof.
I loved the concept... The execution not so much.but still loved the movie. Kinda like Aeon Flux.
I am like three years late but was the "nice hiss" joke a reference to, Steve1989MREInfo ???
"Videogame inventory" is actually termed "Hammerspace"
Nice kids in the hall reference!
I would watch anything if it has Mila’s midriff in it.
i just liked the movies just because of how it reminded me of a crappy made Video game
When this movie came out the boyfriend I had back then said I look exactly like violet. If you wonder how I look like is exactly like Milla Jovovich 😁
I absolutely love this movie...
Lol I thought I was the only one who watched all these terrible B movies 🤣 keep going man you’re doing a great job👌
Great review as always.... BTW What is the name of that Nintendo game?
+Clark that was good old Duck Hunt
Thanks..
Is this "story" based on Darude's Sandstorm MV? Because it sure looks like it.
I'll say, 5 bees for your review of this movie, great humor makes it easier to watch.
The Kill-Matrix-Resident-Aeon-Tomb-Bill-Flux-Raider-Evil Element
Best thing of this pseudomovie was how good the body of the non-actress Jovovich fits into these ultratight outfits
Hmm thats Odd. @ 1:26 all the guard seem to have the deadshot syndrome seeing how they shot, full auto, the vamps in a 360 circle. Someone should have been hit on the opposite side.
I love kurt wimmer films.
I hope this channel gets millions of subscribers 😂😂
I lost it at giant fidget spinner. Lmao
If they reboot this movie it’s blow up
10:20 had me in tears for a good 2 minutes 😂😂😂
I have a soft spot for this film 🎥💓 always had a huge crush on Nick Chinlund always a terrific, great actor!!✨💜💕 wish this film had a sequel some sort!!✨🌺
*"IT IS* _ON!!!"_
Excellent video 📹
Yeah it’s trash, but I like it...but I’ll be honest I like every “vampire” movie I’ve seen.
I grew up watching movies like this and I loved it.
I always think of this and æon flux as the same movie for some reason like they came out @ the same time they hinge on some super hot actress being some kind of world savings mutant fighting the normies or system or w/e .
If you haven't done Æon flux I'd like to see It ✌💟🐝
It find it funny that Mila always plays the same type of character in different movie. Cant she just be a nurse or a housewife?😂😂
She was a doctor in "the Fourth Kind" but everyone wants to forget that
The unholy child of Resident Evil and Kill Bill, birthed by Twilight or any other bad vamp movie.....edit, OK have it your way, Blade.....
Edit edit.....in I liked blade as well, but I'll sacrifice Blade , as 2has more veritas, and three us just a hoot, using Blade's blood to become an Uber vampire, please.....
At the time I watched Ultraviolet I had a very difficult time watching it because of how it looked, and I’ve seen Dick Shark four times (no one should see Dick Shark four times). Maybe I should revisit Ultraviolet ... or maybe not.
God, I remember this movie. Absolutely terrible but boy did it make me fall in love with Mila Jovovich.
I love MILA and wanted this to be good so badly but man it was hard getting through it, it looked literally like a movie length live action cut scene from some obscure video game and not even a good one 😛
With 2020 that filter thing looks good 😂
you are funny on your videos. make more please?
9:10 ah, another "terrible writing advice" fan, good to know you have good taste too :)
this was such an awsome movie.ultraviolet is my favourite superhero now
Very funny review
Lmao "bionic crackhead"
I wished that Ultraviolet had the same screen time as Blade, it’s only is 87 minutes long and that’s short.
Aeon flux review
Yea, I didn't understand it. An hour and a half of Mila Jovovich being damn fine. I was OK with it.
I laughed soo hard i had to pause video for about ten minutes 😂😂
The exact moment the guy hit puberty
a similar film to this is immortal ad vitam
