    [G] Education and passing on knowledge is crucial for the future protection of our marine ecosystems. At both Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o ngā Mokopuna and Marlborough Girls College, they seek to instil awareness, understanding, and a desire to work towards protecting our marine environment for future generations.
    The series was made by Tauihu Media and funded by the Sustainable Seas National Science Challenge.

    Just bcuz Pākehā are starting to see the value in our ancestral knowledge doesn’t give them any right to learn and teach it. Why are we so open to share with our enemy what little our ancestors retained hidden in the years of our conversion and persecution? The renaissance of our culture is for our mokopuna, so lets leave out Pākehā bcuz they don’t get to pick and choose which of our kōrero is myths and legends and which is measurable with their instruments and therefore can be exploited. Leave them to their books in their libraries where they think is the pinnacle of knowledge, and let’s go back to our kōrero tuku iho and work the whenua
