1:30 This fixed my serve. I started doing shadow serves focusing on swinging with my shoulder instead of my arm. The first time I played after that I had several aces which I normally don't have. Compared to before my serves are quite fast now when I hit the ball well and in a relaxed manner.

"right arm and shouler LOCK in "
"I start my movement by pulling down my left shoulder and as a consequence my right shoulder and elbow go up"
This explanation might be the secreate I finally got.
Great tips ! Same for forehand, I suppose.

Really good instruction! I once heard Pete Sampras, during a match between serves say to himself, "shoulder rotation."

Helpful advice. You really have to invest time in this and film yourself continually to check you are doing it right. If, like me, you've been playing a very long time, and your technique is wrong, expect these changes to take a while. It's taken me three years so far and am still not doing a full serve. I'm nearly there now!

Really useful thanks! I tried this yesterday with an older beginner and they doubled their normal throw distance!
Then after 3 attempts to serve with complete misses, they finally connected and executed a fantastic serve. Keeping the head still was the key.. Super fast progress!

Awesome. Free drll from me to you. Have one ball in your left and one in your right. Toss ball than try and hit the toss by throwing ball up and out.

It might work but I think any kind of shadow practice without the racket might induce wrong muscle memory.
What I think is going on here is you are throwing a ball mimicking a service motion because you know how to serve, not the other way round. But I can be wrong, I'm not a tennis coach.

Couple of key things demonstrated wrong and❌️❌️❌️ it will cost you if you learn it this way
    1. When throwing your tossing arm should not drop abruptly to your side and behind as shown here. You have to pull it down in front of you 1st before it goes back.
    2. The trophy position is totally wrong. Racket is shown pointing vertical up. The strings need to be facing slightly down towards your head.
