The only real reason I don't like rock band is the clicky. I like the game but i don't like the soft pressy thing I like guitar hero style guitars that have those loud clicks

If my strum bar would actually register up/down strumming instead of missing notes, I would've already completed this entire game.. It's rather frustrating knowing I can FC every song w/o a worry, but due to a faulty piece of plastic I no longer play. And I'm not trying to throw out another $40 for a new when the one I have is brand new out of the box. Guess I'll have to drink a couple cold ones and continue on without a care for FCs.
I'm thinking about getting an old GH guitar (my current old one doesn't work like it used to) and the adapter to play with old instruments.

The thing with for me I have to put my guitar hero controller up in the sky to have star power on or press the select button on the side of the wall but it's too hard to do it

Hi, so all the guitars I had on ps3 Rockband 3, Beatles and acdc as well as the drums, mic and piano can't be used on Rockband 4?

Well, this is a bit late xD but in my opinion, RB4 Rivals is way more worth the price than GHL and GHH now is owned by Activision, which is a greedy company that loves money, meanwhile, RB is owned by Harmonix, the company that owned GH until GH3. Also, RB4 Rivals has more songs, instruments and modes.
The Xmoda it costs now 570 $ to buy this set

In this package, I received a physical RB4 disk and the Rivals expansion was a code. I do not know if there are copies that are solely the expansion (I think XL / PSN would have a "digital" version so maybe check there?)

It's just a download code in the case if you buy the retail version. The disc that comes with it is just regular RB4 with different art.

Nik Coffman all of the guitars are made mostly symmetric for lefties. Game just registers everything upside-down until you enable Lefty Mode (which I don't use)

J3dininja04 hammer-on’s and pull-offs. You hit the first note and just fret the rest. They look different from the regular notes

Rock Band's built guitars that way since they started. The five up top are standard, that's how Harmonix did it when they were the Guitar Hero people, but the buttons I'm using, I'm pretty sure you can tap them without strumming during solo parts. By habit, I still strum during a lot of solos, but it's an option

IMO, game experience isn't really different (cause the concept's the same), but charging dock is super nice because it saves from long-term battery buying. Foldable neck is also cool if needed to be portable.
nascarfan19 no noticeable difference in the controller being more responsive? I've noticed with the regular guitar that comes in the bundle that it misses notes (like the drum set)

It would not. This guitar is built solely for the newer generation consoles.

Don't quote me on this... I think the Rock Band Rivals bundle I got had a disk that was the full game and the expansion was a code. Granted, I had it downloaded to my console already digitally, but I THINK there was a full game in Rivals wrapping.

I can't count the amount of times I've dropped ho/po from accidentally hitting green while i had my index to be on red and I can't elbow strum with these things to save my life. I went back to guitar hero controllers as soon as I got a legacy adapter and threw the strat in the trash lol
bissanick i have a les paul and gh wt guitar for 360 and my rb4 strat just shit out on me. Legacy adapter is 14.99 right now on Amazon. U have any problems with lag or de syncing when using the adapter? Thx in advance

It's an Xbox One guitar. Things usually aren't compatible with older consoles and this isn't either. There's no way for it to connect to a 360.

Rocksmith is cool and a good way of learning guitar, but Rock Band and real guitar playing are totally different abilities, a lot of awesome guitarists are bullshit at Rock Band and vice-versa, some do both too.
