I would have made his default mouth closed but he's cute otherwise! I'm currently making a vintagecore island, like late 1800s-1950s, and he would absolutely make it into the final 10 villagers if he was real! He would be paired with Gloria in the 1920s district!

This character is SO cute, I think the only thing that drove me nuts the whole time was that the two triangle cuts into the eyes were uneven… that is my only gripe 😂 but other than that…. Wish he was real….
The eyes made me feel that way too but what really messed me up is that he spelled Squeaky wrong!

And also that his name is spelled wrong 😭 It’s written in the game as Sqeaky, and Willie would have been the perfect name. But yeah, the eyes were driving me mad as well. lol

Teeth’s issues were the perspective. The teeth arc to help define the depth of the teeth, however the teeth when looking from the left ruin this illusion due to the 3D model being introduced.

I believe this series will be fine if it does not become extremely popular; if it does, Nintendo will most likely shut it down because they are concerned that it will infringe on their copyright; we all know that if Nintendo create something and you don't play it the exact way they told you you're allowed to they always get mad and stop your fun.

Fun fact: Mickey's full name is Michael Theodore Mouse! And his old name before Mickey and Steamboat Willie was if I'm correct, Mortimer
Mortimer is a separate character and he exists now a days, but when Disney invented Mortimer mickey didn't exist, so its unclear if he meant micky a a separate character, or as an updated Mortimer and the character in modern day is just a reference.

I've made lots of custom villagers by using an animal randomizer and making one for what animal i get lol
How would the parrot villagers be any different from the bird villages

it's gotta be said, a slavic bear villager or a eruasian lynx. i'm honestly surprised there isn't any cheetah type cats either, or bison.

i'd name him billy/billie as a play on steamboat willie! willie is a nickname for william, and bill/billy is another nickname for william :) so billie would be a fun play on that!

Squeaky is absolutely adorable, I wish there was a way for me to put him in my game. I think the only thing I would change would be the mouth, maybe a simple line off to the side, and call me crazy but I loved the first bean smile. Reminded me of Bendy and the Ink Machine. Definitely one of my favorite animation styles

4 months late but it drove me crazy that the eye cuts were uneven, and I think if I personally were to design him I would give him the cheek spikes like mickey has instead of only the forehead spike.
everyone in the comments talking about how their eyes aren't symmetrical, but honestly to me that just kinda adds to the feel of them being a cartoon character, like theyre a living drawing

Oh, this is fun! I recently helped my friend start his island, and I made a little narrative where he was being helped by an “island cultural specialist” I called Eulalia, after one of my existing OCs: a looney tunes OC who is a hippo woman! Ever since I’ve been wanting a make a custom villager of her in the game… the idea of reskinning an existing villager is pretty neat!
(Btw, if you do a hippo, give her the big sister personality, as there are none with that type right now!)

If you wanted to do a black & white character, you should've done something on Max Fleischer's work. He did _many_ things that Walt Disney takes credit for being the first do to _before_ Walt ever did them.

I would probably have named him something related to the creators of Mickey. Since there's already a "Walt", maybe Ubbert, after Mickey's co-creator, Ubbe Ert Iwwerks.

Since Mickey would obviously be too on the nose I was thinking Mortimer (mickeys OG name), Willie (like steamboat Willie), Oswald (the character Mickey replaced) or Walt (AKA Walt Disney) I know some of those names are already taken by villagers but just my ideas. For phrases I was think a whistle sound, oh boy!, or hot dog!
you should make the octopus inspired by Ursula/ drag queens I think it would be a good nod to both LGBTQIA+ people and Disney fans
I was actually envisioning a Snooty octopus villager named Pearl, who is white with green accents. I guess a drag-type look could be cool!
I think actually watching a few old cartoons would've helped a lot more than just looking at pictures on Google... he doesn't really look 1920's to me? Especially since the bean mouth wasn't actually used all that often

Maybe make his name Mortimer? That was going to be Mickey’s name, before Walt’s wife said it should sound cuter. Still, I think it kinda gives off the same old-timey vibes.

I generally hate the mouse villagers but I LOVE squeaky! He’s so cute and hides the weird head shape they have
