    About Me
My name is Brandon Herrera. I'm the owner and operator of The AK Guy Inc, a 07 Firearm Manufacturer based out of Fayetteville, NC. I also co-own Stark Media Group, and designed the rifle known as the AK-50.
I've started to dedicate this CZcams channel above all to have fun, but also as a way to document my entrepreneurial journey for the next few years as I try to grow my companies. Hopefully, people can learn from my example, successes, and failures.
Either way, I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, and I hope it's just as fun to follow along!

In the game SWBF2 EA lootcrate edition, if you zoom in you'll see they 3d scanned one so detailed it's still labeled 9mm and has the injection molded warning on the side still, making it one of the few laser blasters in 9mm (technically 9mm is a standard diode housing size, I have one in a laser pistol that I designed to look like a baby sized raygun and burns hardwood floors remarkably fast. I designed mine in Texas when they didn't allow bearing of handguns, but had no regulation on photon emission optical weaponry and "no firearm" sings don't apply to not firearms even if the device can set a Tshirt on fire in less than a second and cause instant blindness allowing you to close the distance and finish with a knife to avoid lawsuits or one angry blind attacker). I used to work for Calico when they were in Bakersfield, CA. I worked there from '85 to early '87 & only stopped due to pregnancy.
Warren Stockton & Mike Miller were great bosses. They always greeted everyone one of us employees with a big smile & took time in their day to talk to us as they were walking & checking to make sure all was going well.
      I loved that job. 😊
I gifted one of these to my dad for his birthday. I requested the serial number to match his bday. I was so excited when I was told my rifle was next & I did my part to get it assembled.
My dad loved it & was touched when I told him to look at the serial number.

Of course, that would be a terrible military firearm; because asking soldiers to not overtension something... yeah.
Then the Russians copied it into the Bizon; and made a far better version of it... but it's now being withdrawn, because... surprise, asking soldiers not to overtension the magazine and needing to keep it clean of debris, not realistic. Gotta make it as idiot and weather proof as possible.

I saw one guntuber who honestly could not get his to fire twice in a row no matter what he did. And that was a brand new unmodded gun he had FFL shipped directly to his house. He said the older models ran better because he had one before the bolt broke. Liberty3s were originally made under the Clintons and a one hundred round magazine standard was not popular with lawmakers. Watching his, I wonder if his was mechanically sabotaged. It cycled manually just fine. But the blowback system NEVER worked correctly reducing the thing to a single shot firearm.

I knew a guy who owned one and that miserable 50 round rotary magazine would jam consistently every 3-4 rounds! He offered it to me for about 20% of what he paid for it.
I turned him down so he took it and ran over it with his 5 ton truck........LOL!

The most amazing thing about the Calico's magazine is that it's double stack, single feed. It's not just a single row of bullets... It's two. Damn thing is so crazy.

I would hazard a cautious guess that the main differing feature between the 9mm and 22lr versions of the magazine are the feed-lips.
So if 9mm fits single stack in the helix, then 22lr can double-stack.
I am fully prepared to be wrong about this, though.
