It's so weird to hear the voices of the characters, but with the real voice actors. To me, it almost feels like Joker is voice acting for Seth Green, instead of the other way around haha!
I love when actors take these voice overs serious and actually respect their characters history. There's not enough of that around :) although lately there has been some great work out there. This is just awesome. I'm a huuuuge Mass Effect fan.

It kind of makes sense. When he says "We", he means the collective of humanity. The martian ruins were discovered by trained astronauts, physicists, and people specializing in those fields. But now, any average person can hop on a ship and travel between star systems. So without those prothean ruins, humanity as a whole would have still been stuck on Earth. Remember: When humanity landed on Mars, their technology was very similar in style to our modern day stuff.
I did not even realize how many big names they got for this game. The only person I recognized right off the bat was Keith David. I had no idea there were so many names I knew associated with this.
bioware did a great job at casting these people. all of them have a very distinct and emotional voice. also, i guess hackett's voice is the most soothing ive ever heard.
I remember hearing Keith David doing a Navy commercial on the radio. At first, I thought, "Wait... Mass Effect?" It took me a minute to realize the Navy he was talking about was not the space one.
*The BEST* voice acting crew ever... They made me sympathize EVEN with bad guys (tho i was full Paragon guy in every ME piece), thats how good they where...
Just played through Mass Effect 1 again. Still finding shit I didn't see before. Now then... I just need to do some hacker bullshit to move my save over to Mass Effect 2, cheers EA!
Man, i did it on cracked version of mass effect, transfered my saves from ME 1 to ME2, and then ME 2 to ME 3, i believe u can do it too especially if u own original/purchased games (unlike me), just need some googling.
Those actors are really cool and all, but i would really prefer to see interviews with actors who voice both Shepards, Wrex, Garrus, Tali, Liara, Ashley, Kaidan - you know, the MAIN characters and squaddies. Same goes for ME2. But they seem to be picking more famous actors for the interviews (with rare exceptions), not the voice actors. Still, thank you for sharing, I really appreciate it.

This game (and Mass Effect 2) really feature an excellent voice actors. That's one of the many strong points in this saga. One of the best video games ever. It's like watching an CGI film, but you are in control!
Lance Henriksen worked with Keith Davidson in Modern Warfare 2 as well... Lance was General Shepherd (Mass Effect nostolgia there...), while Keith was Captain Foley... Lance is also voicing Bishop in the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator game, just like the films...
Admiral Hackett is my favorite. Everything he says decreases in pitch and volume as he goes on, and that gives me chills. I also love his performance as General Shephard in MW2, I actually didn't realize he was in ME until I played through it again after playing MW2 a few months ago and was like HOLY SHIT.
Keith David's deliveries are great. He talks about all kinds of very specific fictional things - talking about Geth and Reapers, and so on - but sounds completely like he believes what he's saying.
@Wolfsrain90 I think the geth will probably at least partially help earth out. After all, Legion spoke of the Heretics being only a parrt of his people. They're the geth Shepard fought, yet Legion's geth faction actually opposes the Reapers.

these are some of the best voice actors in video games some of them like Jennifer hale have appeared in metal gear solid and kotor knights of the old republic

The voice acting in the trilogy is so great! I've done at least 5 playthroughs of the trilogy and I'm STILL finding so many small things.
