    Thank you sooo much. I am 58 years old. I started drumming at 55, but have only been able to practice a grand total of 15 hours in the past 3 years. This is more manageable and fun. Much appreciated!

    Particularly with the first fill-in example, you could also move the "extra" bass drum note from the end to the beginning.

    This is really great! I’m going to do some cards up with the fills and do this with my students! I like the way you can take simple rhythmic ideas and orchestrate them around the kit to make cool musical phrases! Thanks for some great ideas and my students will love this. It’s all about fun in the end!

      The best about this concept is that you can use whatever figures you want. So from quite easy to very advanced stickings you can use this idea for every level.

    Very solid drum set sound. Can you explain how to tune drum set this way and what drumheads do you use?

      Thank you first of all.
      Toms: Remo Emperor Black Suede with Coated Diplomat as Reso Heads.
      Reso Head tuned higher than Batter Head.
      Bass Drum: Power Stroke 3
      Snare Drum: Coated Ambassador. Reso and Batter Head tuned very high :)

      @@fractallightx In this video I used a regular DW Factory Reso Head that came with the kit.
      I just swapped that Bass Drum Reso Head the other day with a Remo Fiberskyn Ambassor. And I think it does the job even better with the sound I'm going for. I can really recommend the Fiberskyn.

      @@ChrisHoffmannTube Nice. Can I ask one last question please? :) Does the snare wires really matter? I think Puresound custom pro steel 24 is the one of the best options. What do you think?

      @@fractallightx You can ask as many questions as you want :)
      It also came to my ears that Puresound are making great snare wires. Honestly I never tried one so far but I definitely want to give it a try in the future.
      The snare wires though are probably the least important aspect of the snare sound. The player's touch of hitting the drum and the skillset of tuning the Snare Drum in different ranges and adjusting the snare wires tension accordingly is more important than the snare wires itself. But if you get the chance I think you should give Puresound a try to let me know which one I should buy :D

    What cymbals are those?

      The one on the right is a 19“ K constantinople crash ride. The ride is 22“ Kerope and the crash on the left is a 19“ cluster crash. 14“ K constantinople Hi-Hats.
      The left splash is actually a stack made of a 10“ A custom efx, a 10“ spiral stacker and a 10“ K custom special dry splash on top. The Splash is a 8“ Splash by Symrna.

    Guys when you started to show the concept at sticking "A" he played triplets and showed sixteenth notes on the notation... Can be confusing for people. Anyway it was a great lesson.

      @@glenfordballon8060 Good question. I personally don't think in Rudiments when playing fills.
      For this lesson I just filled the space of a 3note grouping with useful stickings.
      This is just one fill concept of many.
      I also did a course and a youtube lesson using the grouping concept of 3s and 2s on this youtube channel.

      No good shots of the cymbal to the far right (likely another similar ride), or the splashes. But the ride is from the Zildjian Kerope line (21 or 22 maybe?), the crash is a Zildjian k cluster crash (17-19 probably), and the hi hats look like the Constantinople series (likely 14s). Hope that helped at all
