This is probably uncool but I still go back to Harry Potter and Percy Jackson when I need some cosy feelings or if I need to get over a reading slump.
Very cool 👍
Very cool
not uncool at all! 🙌
Happy Holidays Jessie! Hope you’re doing well, it’s been a while. You are so loved!!
I'm in the first half of book 5 of Age of Myth..... I'm definitely in love with this series and the characters are created so well I couldn't tell you my favorite.... so so good!!
I just finished Legends and Lattes and I think it is the coziest fantasy I have ever read!
Loved this video. These books are all in my wishlist. I loved hearing you speak about Michael J. Sullivan's books again ( I don't get tiered of it) because they are the ones I am eager to read the most! I read the first chapter of Age of Myth and loved it enough to buy almost all his books from all 4 series lol (I better love 'em) Thanks for this video!!
Miss you and your videos, I hope everything’s alright and you come back soon! ❤😊
I just finished the House in the Cerulean Sea and I loved it and now I get your love for Lucy ❤ It really is great cosy fantasy and I loved the writing style. I added the Irregular Witches and Half a Soul to my TBR recently because everyone seems to be loving them. I loved that you mentioned Legends here, as it (and anything by MJS) are absolutely my go to when I feel like something cosy. The world is just so familiar and somehow makes me feel like I am home, always such a good time to get lost in Elan ❤️
I just started the second book in Sullivan's Riyria Revelations series and am loving it! I am absolutely putting Age of Myth on my TBR for sometime soon, it always gets talked about so highly and I could use a good cozy fantasy.
Hope you’re doing okay girlie! Haven’t seen anything from you in a moment! I hope you and your family have a beautiful christmas!
I haven’t been here in 100 years but you look freaking fabulous and you’re still just the cutest little button. Thanks for the recs❤❤❤
I don’t know how I missed watching your channel Jessie. El talks about you all the time. I love Cerulean Sea so much, and I can’t wait until the sequel comes out. I need to try Michael J Sullivan.
Happy new year J 🎉
I love so many of these books! Amari is one of my new faves, and I am getting my daughter to read it soon too!
I really need to get to Nettle and Bone soon, I picked up a copy but haven't had a chance to read it yet.
Happy New Year! Hope you're alright. Really miss your videos. All the best 🫶🏻
You should read the Tiffany Aching Discworld arc. It's super cozy.
Miss you Jessie!! I hope everything’s ok!!
Hi Jessie, just wanted to pop in here to say I hope this time away has been filled with lots of wonderful moments with your family. I’m wishing you a great 2024, and whenever you decide to come back, I’ll be here to enjoy your videos. Take care. 😊
❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you so much!!!! Hope to return soon!!!!
Hi Jessie! I'm currently reading the 3rd book in the Regency Faerie Tales, loved seeing it here.
I would like to read The secret society too at some point, everybody seems to love it, and I'm enjoying witchy cozy stories!
Another one that feels very cozy to me is The bear and the nightingale, have you read it? I've only read the first one but I already own the last 2 and can't wait to read them this winter!
Were you interested in TIRANSI?
Tress is almost a drag in the middle! Almost finished and excited there’s so much in the last 70 pages to be excited about 🎉😊
Deff gotta reccomend Tooth and Claw the coziest book I've ever read.
Hello Jessie, I hope you and your family are well and we will see your new videos soon!)😊
I would like to read Half a Soul at some point.
Never would I ever have considered ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ cosy 😭😭 that book gave me nothing but stress anxiety and frustration as a kid and as an adult. Completely opposite of cosy 😭
I wasn't a big fan of Riyria Revelations, although I loved Hadrian and Royce it was a bit too cliche and tropey for me. Is The Legends of the First Empire more of the same, or better than RR?
Still thinking if anything that was not mentioned in this video was a cozy fantasy read for me. Probably, because mainly it's hot in the Philippines. 🌞
Amari And The Night Brothers is in my Christmas Bookish Wish List. 🎄📝
I have to add the Lockwood and Co. series by Jonathan Stroud to this list.
The only authors I'm familar with in this list are Sanderson and Pratchett (I tip my hat at Pratchett).
A series I loved growing up, though it was considered "old" when I read them is the Chronicles of Prydain (written from 1964-68). They fit into the middle school age range and somewhere between high and cozy fantasy. I like it because it's a coming of age story for two characters - Taran (the pig boy) and Princess Eilonwy... then there's Fflewddur Fflam... and there's Gurgi (for GOODNESS SAKES! he just want's his crunchings and munchings)... wait, where was I? Oh right, I'm going to be readying the Chronicles of Prydain over the holidays.... 😉
Great Video Jessie and I agree I absolutely loved Amari and the Night Brothers & it’s sequel Amari and the Great Game as well and I’m eager to get the third installment next year and it will get to me on my birthday which is perfect Lol 😂 So my question to you is have you read the sequel Amari and the Great Game cause it was so good and I listened to the audiobook for both books 📚 and it was so much fun 😊 So now I’m currently reading the sequel to Belladonna by Adalyn Grace and it’s called Foxglove and once again listening to the audiobook with it and the narrator is phenomenal So if you ever get the chance I Highly Recommend the sequel to Amari and the Night Brothers as well as the sequel to Belladonna Foxglove 📚 Have a Fantasy Saturday And Happy Reading 📖🙂
I’ve really wanted to read Michael J. Sullivan’s books, but them being all connected and mainly prequels to the original series has made me not sure about it. Or sure of where I should start.
It’s almost always better to start in publication order. I would recommend starting with Theft of Swords, and if you like it, finish that series first. If you’re not convinced by it, you can jump to Age of Myth and would have no problem understanding the world.
I know a big series can be intimidating but Sullivan’s writing is not complex at all. It’s very simple and flows very easily. (In a good way, of course. In a way that you can effortlessly fly through his books)
Warning ⚠️ Doing use headphones 🎧 lots of bumping of the mic
You are going to LOVE Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries !! It’s Half a Soul but better
Cozy fantasy is not my favorite genre but I do like it sometimes. I really enjoy that this list is not only cozy fantasy books but some fantasy books that happen to be a little cozy…if that makes sense. I feel like that’s my level of cozy more often!
Wow I didn't like Tress, Nettle & Bone, The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, and The House in the Cerulean Sea.They all seemed too middle grade and innoctent for me, not very adultish. I still want to read Amari, Half a Soul, and I have Age of Myth on Audible. The Trials of Morrigan Crow was well written, 4 stars.
I wanted to be a wizard… not by Harry Potter by yugioh the dark magician card
