🇴🇲 SALALAH, OMAN - In this vlog I take you with me to explore Salalah city - the streets, the stunning white beaches and the plantations. And I'll show you where to drink the best coconut water in town.
But first, see how I do the laundry in my Omani house.

WHO AM I?
In 1999 I volunteered in an orphanage in Kenya and it changed my life. I then worked in Albania with unprivileged girls and kids for 3 years. I came back to Italy and started teaching at primary school but I wasn't happy.
So in 2010 I took the decision to follow my passion, not my pension. I first volunteered in Cambodia for a year, then opened a blog and travelled around South East Asia, China, Iran and Oman, always showing the lives of real locals, away from the tourist spots.
My goal - my mission in life - has always been to inspire people to be brave, follow their passion, open their minds and discover the kindness of other people and cultures.

Hi, your words in the end, my heart touched it will helps to healing my soul.sometime i couldn't imagine actually what i want. You reminded one thing that i was forgotten " life is a gift" thank you for the valuable words. Love you and your videos.❤. From sri lanka
In the silence of your heart you can really discover what you want. It’s easy but we usually make it difficult. What makes your eyes sparkle when you talk about it? What brings you joy when you do it? 💝 big hugs to you and my beautiful Sri Lanka
Salalah has nothing special to see, but it is the city that is special in itself, for the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, for the feeling of calm it transmits to every visitor.
It’s exactly like that: it’s the serene atmosphere, no stress in Salalah
CAn you pls tell me any one town name in Salalah
Don't you believe that your phrases are contradictory.. Salalah has nothing special to see but the city itself is special 👀
I have just got back from Salalah last week and I'll say the city isn't great but the beaches Al Haffa and Ad-Dahariz are amazing tropical beaches and I did love the Sultan Qaboos Masjid as well. But the surrounding areas of Salalah (Eastern and Western Tours) are amazing. And you have to do the desert safari - it was brilliant
Dahariz beach is my favourite, Taqah beach is also amazing and still unspoiled. Another wonderful beach is Al Fazayah, located a few km far from Al Mighsayl. I’ve been many times in the Rub Al Khali (I work here), to me it’s the best place where to detox from daily life
@@toohappytobehomesick I did visit Dahariz Beach which was nice and did both Al Fazayah and al Mughsail beaches for the Western Salalah tour. I went to Taqah and Al Haffa beaches on my eastern Salalah tour which included Wadi Darbat, Jebel Semhan and Sinkhole
This place is magical, I’ve been there for 3 days and still dream of it! Thank u for bringing so good memories xxx
You have to come back again and for longer then :D
Salalah beach is stunning! I was there. Coconut water is very healthy
I like to drink it specially when I have stomachache 🙂
I love fresh coconut as well!!! 😍 That plantation is amazing!! Is very interesting knowing about the perfume, now I'm super curious to smell it!
You should go to Africa to feel the smell of these plantations - it’s a mixture of greenery and smoke
You are Amazing 👌😉
Thank you Max! We should do another radio episode together
Meme is lovely

You have a nice villa but its isolated and very minimal... in Salalah city there is lots of mire modern, more convenient and less isolated apartments and villas available to rent.
Yes, you are right, but that was the house of my sponsor’s brother and I stayed there only for a while
I saw a lot of video about "beautiful beaches" but nobady swam there. Is the sea is dangerous?
It’s not dangerous, but since it’s a Muslim country, when the beach is near the village/town, people usually do not swim there to respect the local culture. But there are some areas where people can swim (I mean for the swimming costume)
in salalah you can swim at any beach that belongs to a hotel...
there are plenty 4 and 5star hotels in Salalah.
I want to go for 2 days what tour you could recommend
I recommend a full day visit East and West Salalah: Al Mughsayl, Fazayah Beach on the west, then go east for Wadi Dharbat and end the day in Taqah watching the sunset up the cliff overlooking the long beach. You can visit Salalah the second day in the morning - the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, the plantations, Dahariz beach, Al Haffa souq where to buy the frankincense
@@toohappytobehomesick hello dear is it possible to have a 1 day tour visiting major spots from west to east excluding city and haffa beach? Thanks a lot
It’s surely possible!
@@toohappytobehomesick ohh wow hope we’ll make it
are you living in oman ?
I’ve lived in Oman for mostly 10 years. At the moment I’m not permanently there but only now and then for work
