I am a big fan of the Lead Counsel but glad the Commissioner corrected him. The witness was correct about the Common Entrance and the pass marks. Your mark could get you a seat in Junior Secondary School or Senior Secondary School also known as High School. The pass mark was adjusted each year based on the number pupils taking the exam and the number of places available. A person’s level of educational attainment is not always predicated on ability. There are so many factors involved.
We can discuss this until forever, but you don't sit for a Secondary Sch, even though they could set their own pass marks. Bottomline is, you only go to a Secondary Sch, if you failed the Common Entrance Examination. So, Essa is essentially right I think.
I would've wish to see equal treatment with level ground for every witness, who happened to appear before the TRRC regardless of there crimes. Tamsir Jasseh who helped Ndur cham to escaped was a bigger crime compared to what Babou did! However, Tamsir was given the floor with a VIP treatment. Yet Babou is been ridiculed throughout the proceedings! That's not fair. Note, it's my opinion and I'm not claiming to be right or wrong!
