Why did you forget to mention the Arabs who come along and invaded and colonized Israel? It wasn't just the British! They were merely the most recent people to conqueror the land of Israel (from the Ottomans).
The demographics of the land are almost the same since the Romans expelled the Jews in the first century AD. There was no ethnic cleansing of the region, and the demographic changes were minor due to the homogeneity of the Muslim community and internal immigration (there were Jewish migrations, the Arabs were the ones who allowed the Jews to enter Jerusalem after 5 centuries of romans preventing) so it is not Arabs it is not ottomanis (they didn't steal any land the people are the same on contrary they allowed Jews immigration ) it is Romans
