- They set the tone with The Death of All Colors. Now, Lord of the Lost takes us back into this magnificent concept album on themes of Damnation and Salvation. We don't know what to expect, but we know it will surely be great!

Funfact for musicnerds: They work with a leitmotif on the new album.
And as they finally revealed the name of the new album last week: The upside down cross is a "J" for "JUDAS".
its also pointed like a dagger for betrayal
The upside-down cross is part of Norse mythology and part of the Thornstar, a mythical hybrid.
Thornstar
"Spinarhos stands for the thorn of the rose as a symbolization that everything beautiful and good never exists without an opposite pole, so this term can be found in the Pangaen as a term for the end of their world. If the thorn of the rose only survives after the rose has faded, the time has come for the Second Meeting, the Coithyr G'hahyr, where the rose is believed to represent the power of life, if not directly for humanity itself. According to today's knowledge, the mythology of the G'hahyr ends with the second meeting.
The end of the earthly world, after a renewed merging of light and darkness, is not described as pure destruction, but creates a new, androgynous hybrid being from both parts of the all-pair: the god of thorns, whereby "God" is mixed with "star" thanks to misleading traditions became, so it finally became Spinarstjarna, the thorn star (Thornstar).
Visually it is a mixture of Morgana and Haythor. He is adorned with a star on his forehead in the form of a heptagram, a black aurelole, two horns and large breasts. In addition to the hole in his chest, he also carries his heart in one hand, with an UPSIDE-DOWN CROSS in the other. A network of thorns wrapped around his scarred body. Instead of normal eyes, there are two wide open, apparently screaming mouths. Similar to the world fire of Nordic mythology, Thornstar is largely responsible for the destruction of the earth, but at the same time the creator of a new world order and a redefinition of balance."
The “Cross” is a “J” for Judas. It’s an amazing concept. It came to Christopher after reading the gospel of Thomas. An amazing combination.
Because I love Lord of the Lost they are how I found your channel.
Northern German Gothic rollin' sound.
Thanks for another lovely reaction guys!
As to the symbol, it's maybe helpful to keep in mind their new concept album is called "Judas" and deals with the character of Judas Iscariot and the so-called Gospel of Judas. So basically it's supposed to be all about the blurred lines between good and evil... So the symbol could be seen also as a stylized "J", but knowing LOTL there's supposed to be even more layers to it...
I love Lord of the Lost! Great you reacted to them! 👌
Yes! I just pre ordered this album on Amazon! Can't wait!
A really nice roller coaster with a couple of interesting and unexpected changes / turns.
Makes me even more looking forward to their upcoming new longplayer!
I'll let you know when something new comes up :-)
The one you were thinking of was The Death Of All Colours.
Love this one. The timber of his voice is perfect for this
I think the upsidedown cross is just a variation of the one that Black Sabbath made famous, but it dates back centuries.
Haven't been able to find anything about if from Lord Of The Lost specifically
Great track 😀👍
The upside down cross, as far as I know is the bands new logo
*Lord Of The Lost meets Powerwolf meets Behemoth ??* 🎵🤔💫🤔

That actually did NOT help. I only found stuff about christianity
Edit: guess there is something that is called Thor's Cross/Wolf Cross/Viking Cross?
@@earendilthemariner5546 Start post edited. I hope translated well from German into English. There could be mistakes in the short time.
Thank you for that! - G
@@MikeandGinger your welcome 🙂
@@MikeandGinger Actually if you check their official Telegram page, LotL refer to it as the "J symbol", for "Judas". It seems to be an original symbol they created. As to what it means - probably having the full album will shine more light on it.
