yea that's the thing that makes him interesting, because to be the actual leader of your clan, you literally and metaphorically have to be willing to let others follow you, or stand behind you. a willing to entrust others with your will. that theme manifests itself with him everywhere @@anakin.fps1
Makes perfect sense
final valley is so symbolic man, you can see it here too. Madara and Hashirama opposite sides of the constant river. Final valley they are on opposing sidesof the waterfall, which is the symbol of never ending battle between shinobi.
This part of the story really reinforces the whole child soldiers aspect of Naruto pretty crazy.
True, also considering that those were different times...

11:06 Hashirama was the one who thought of the ninja academy’s & ranking ninja etc not TOBIRAMA! Now people can stop saying he came up with everything in the leaf village.
I think were the distinction lies is that Hashirama came up with the ideas and Tobirama put them into practise. The idealist and realist if you will.
Hashirama and Madara as kids were such two innocent cinnamons! 🥰

also too, next episode is one of MY personal favorite fights in all of Naruto.
