    Since you're this deep anyway and going to replace the sprocket drum anyways, ask your counterperson for the rim drive conversion kit. Saves wear and tear on chains and bar, lowers cost because all yor swap out is rim sprocket. Two chains per sprocket and three rim sprockets per clutch drum.
    Thank you for showing us this.

    My only suggestion to others who might be using this video as a guide would be to put a dab of light grease on the oil pump gear, as well as a dab of grease on the needle bearing as well. Also recommend greasing the needle bearing whenever you remove the cover for basic maintenance and cleaning.

    So mine my clutch doesn't just unbolt. The engine turns with it. The brake is on but there is no way to hold the shaft still.

    You failed to show how the clutch hub has a little groove in it for the oiler arm to fit into, some people over look that, i figured yr video would show that ..

    I don't think anybody out there making any other videos of this all do this much in the video or go this far

    My only compliment to you is work on your video editing or have that person work on it for you I really appreciate this as if it was only made like an hour ago you sure as hell explain a lot more than a stihltech.. I'm pretty sure you would appreciate buying $1,000 log skidder

    I have the same saw the brake band is in the way of one of the screws that hold the oil pump in how did you get around that? It looked like you had the engaged maybe to get the band out of the way.

    • @mikefisc9989
      @mikefisc9989 Před 2 lety +1

      Just remove the tab that holds it in place near the base of the saw and then move it out of the way. The screw is then easily removed. Make sure to look at the way the band is situated before removing it, so that you know how to replace it.

    I bet those new parts were expensive if they are oem which is the only thing I personally would use

      @steveschenck9277  Před 2 lety +1

      They parts were original equipment and worth every penny. They fit the first time without having to be modified or sending them back to a third party company.
