Sooo today we going to talk all about my new protective style. Crochet Braids using Harlem 125 Braiding hair called Ripple Deep on there Kima Braid line.
This curly crochet is giving me all kinds of vibes and I'm feeling them!!! I purchased this hair at my local BSS for 5.99 a bag and I used 4 1/2 bags total. Now sis that my vary for you. So get 6 to be safe or if you have a smaller head maybe only 4. My head in pretty small.
So I know this video is SUPER SUPER LONG! That's because it has the INSTALLATION, NIGHT TIME ROUTINE, DAILY MAINTENANCE, AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS all wrapped into one video.
What I will try to do it put the TIME TAGS below so you can skip around if needed but it is my hope that you will chat with me all the way through!

Great video, per usual.☺ I currently have in Kima Ripple Deep. Left it long. May cut it for the final week. Don't know for sure yet. 3 weeks in. I love this hair! It is gorgeous BUT it IS higher maintenance just as you said. Sometimes I just wear the twists in a ponytail if it's more of a lazy day. Once I twisted some of the twists together and pinned them up, ended up with a halo twist effect. TFS!☺

I'm a beginner to this hair,so it's all right to use a big comb to comb it out,spray it,twist it up @ night,put a bonnet on it,spray it when I take it down the next morning, I love the hair,but I have some frizzy, could you help me?

Have you ever tried the flat iron to lock the knots ? I’ve heard of people doing that but I never tried it.

Shayla does the Got 2 B glued spray make it hard to take down? Does it make a big difference in keeping the knots from slipping using that?
No. But i really prefer loreal holding spray instead. I just wanted to try the got2 be glued. But it was nothing special. But adding hair spray to the knots make a huge difference.

I have been looking at for a video that showed the use of highlight colors. I used to use 1B, 2 and 4 and people would say it was pretty when the lady framed my face in the number 4. I have ordered some T1B30 AND 1B. You have my wanting to order a new color. I think I should get, on pack of 2 and 1 pack of 4. I have the ocean wave hair, but am thinking making ripple deep my next hair. The spray bottles are cheap! I need that Dray bottle and to get one for my granddaughter.
Yeees! I love the spray bottles and yes get the colors! I love highs and lows in a crochet ❤️ gives it a little razzle dazzle 😂❤️

A leave in conditioner. Water based if possible and some water in a spray bottle.

What hair do you suggest that looks like this but less maintenance?
The curl is very loose. Generally, the looser the curl the more work involved. Tighter the easier. Kima in my opinion is one of the easier to care for. For for a curl pattern exactly like this one there isn't one. However, if ur new to crochet and want a low maintenance style period. I would try the kima Brazilian twist or the freetress water wave. But any curl pattern similar to this one will have more maintenance. This pattern to me equates to gogo curl by freetress and zury. Both of which still require maintenance. I hope this helps sis!
Is it water resistant? Like does is curl up when you wet it?
If u mean like a wet n wavy situation then no. But u can wash this hair as long as you twist it in medium plaits while it drys. If not, it tends to frizz a bit. That webby look will appear shortly after if not twisted while wet. Once it drys, its back to normal and they curls will still be there. ❤️ hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
