Sharing my candle making journey and learnings along the way. Make these aesthetic bubble candles at home with me! I've been testing M-100 pillar wax from Village Craft & Candle. It was the most affordable option near me in the Toronto area. The wax melter was sent to me from ToAuto which made candle making much easier.
I've recently started a candle brand on Amazon! I'll be launching new scents slowly. Thank you so much for all your support!

Thanks for sharing the VDO, I am so enjoy. So could where I can get materials?
Thank you so much for watching 𫶠Sorry, I forgot to link the products for this video. I'll work on that right now and post the links in the description :)
Thank you for sharing your video! I'm a beginner at candle making. My pillar candles kept coming out with air bubbles and texture. I do have two questions. What temperature do you melt your wax? And How long do you keep the wax to stay warm when you switch it to insulation? I hope I can get some help.
Hi! Thank you so much for watching :) With the wax I used in this video, they recommend heating it to 180F. The temperature setting isnât always accurate in my opinion and the wax can get too hot. I always set it slightly lower than the temp I want and if itâs not hot enough, Iâll slowly increase the temperature dial. Once it reaches the temperature I need, I manually adjust the dial so it switches to insulation mode. If it gets too hot I just turn off the melter and remove the lid. Just make sure you don't overheat the wax ie. over 200F. Youâll eventually get the hang of it and will know what temp to set your dial to for your specific wax :) Hope that helps!
I love your tool to insert the cotton wick. May I ask where did you get it?
Yes of course! I think it's called a "sewing awl". I purchased mine on aliexpress (www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004174193120.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.44.61471802WRSN5i). You might be able to find it on amazon, but I don't see any with reviews. Here is a similar one (amzn.to/3KifLjg). Hope that helps :)
Thank you đ«¶đ». Iâll try to find it. Loved your video!!
Thank you so much for watching 𫶠have fun making candles!!
What kind of wicks are you using? thank you
Hi! I'm using a generic cotton spool wick and prewaxed wicks from Amazon in this video. Later in my candle making journey I used wicks from a candle supplier based on their recommended wick guide.
Do you cure your candle for best scent? If you do do you leave it int he mold? or take it out of the mold
for these candles, I use M100 wax which requires 48 hours cure time before burning This is based on the directions provided online :) And I cure them out of the mold. Hope that helps!
Can you please make video on vyber acid and stearic acid please đ„ș with parrifin wax it's a request and also without using any acid ... please only used parrifin wax i hope you will make â€

Hi what kind of wax do you use thank you for the video
Hi! Thank you for watching :) I used a wax called M-100 but it looks like it was reformulated and renamed to Freedom Pillar Soy Wax on the suppliers site. Hope that helps! Here is the link:

Any tips on how to prevent air bubbles / texture in the candles? Been trying to do my own and I am ending up with all of my candles having air bubbles after I take them out of the mold đą
I had this issue as well and it can definitely be frustrating đą For me, I was stirring aggressively which creates bubbles. Maybe try tapping the mold to release the air bubbles or try heating the molds with a heat gun before pouring. Pour slowly and at the right temp. Hope this helps!
What about now do you still have the same problem??
Can you please give some info on what wick type and size you used for your candles? Thanks so muchđ
Hi! Once you know the type of wax and the diameter of the candle, there are guides made by candle companies to help you figure this out. I used village craft and candles guide. villagecraftandcandle.com/pages/how-to-choose-the-right-wick?_fs=16428240218-15147080982. Hope that helps 𫶠Thank you so much for watching :)
How you managed to take out the U-shaped candle from the mould?
If I can remember correctly, I held the base of the U shape and slowly pulled it out from there. I also waiting until the next day to demold. Hope that helps! :)
I tried like 10 times and it always break! Thats unfortunate because i love this shape
What size wick did you use
Hi! I'm using a generic cotton spool wick and prewaxed wicks from Amazon in this video. Later in my candle making journey I used wicks from a candle supplier based on their recommended wick guide.
How much wax we need for a medium size glass jar candle
for my 9 oz candle jar, I fill 7.5 oz of wax and fragrance oil. It'll depend on the glass jar you purchase :)
@@joolieshome okay
did you put oil or anything before the wax, for when you take them out ?
I didn't, but I could have used some for the body mold to help release the wax. Thanks for watching :)
How to pack these candles for selling?
If I'm shipping multiple candles, I would wrap them in tissue paper first and then maybe some kraft paper in a larger box for some cushion. You can also place them in a smaller kraft box with tissue paper and then place it in a larger shipping box. Hope that helps!
@@joolieshome thanks for reply â€
Is it pure soy wax?
It's a botanical wax, so it's not 100% pure soy wax. It has soy, coconut, and palm. Hope that helps :)
