Melody Skylark receives an ominous message in her bowl of alphabet soup warning of a supernatural war and discovers she's Earth's only hope in the face of an otherworldly threat.
This new short film from Sozo Bear Films is like a mashup of live action Saturday morning cartoons and anime mixed with "Everything, Everywhere, All At Once" and "Scott Pilgrim Vs The World."

Wow. This was some really good comedy. Great performances by everyone and the VFX were fun too. Nice work and most especially the lead actress, Emily Topper. Doing comedy like that is WAY hard. Great job!

@@SozoBearFilms i think its a good thing personally, the "format" is ripe with storytelling possibilities! you could go any number of directions with it, have a few "episodes" with her forming the band, and then have random "tour" adventures, you could make a larger story, or just have it entirely episodic.....and with your guys humor and sensibilities, it could really work out well.....almost like "hitchikers guide" crossed with "josie and the pussycats" or "jem and the holograms".

Loved this short! Saw it today at the Allentown Film Festival. Our short film was in the same block. Really loved the quirkiness and fun of it all! Must been so much fun to make! So awesome. Looking forward to checking out more of your films on the channel.

Yes, the budget for something like this can be quite low, and that makes for considerable flexibility of story line, screenplay, etc. Well and good. However, there still has to be a story in there someplace, and this piece was lacking. It just wasn't interesting at all. Not fun, not exciting, not funny -- just not very good.
Keep at it, folks. You have all the basics in place. Storytelling is still and art. Work on it.
