I think it would be good to provide an example, where the effect could be useful, especially if it's not an obvious choice. For example, it's obvious that these effects can be used for transition between two clips, but on the other hand - the radial wipe could be used for a meter/clock animation or a pie chart, and the linear wipe is awesome for quick cropping of an image when you want to avoid masks.
As for the circle - it would be better to use just CC Circle :D With stencil alpha option it could serve as a circle wipe easily.
