great work mate, a bit of engagement in terms of what you're doing would be good though. just watching someone paint with no hints as to why, what,where and what paints are used is a bit annoying, but well done looks fantastic

When not using primer and painting directly on the resin would an acrylic varnish or lacquer be enough to keep the paint from rubbing off?

It's hard to believe that the last few photos you've shown here is your end result of painting. You never showed your entire process at all. Everything I've seen so far are just your base paint and some acts of air brushing that didn't make sense at all.
