Here are 2 more hunts off one of my Yukon hunting DVDs. I would be lying to you if I said all hunts work out just the way you want them to. I guess it's why we call it hunting not "killing". As one hunter told me there are 3 ("W's) we have little control over, Weather, Wildlife, and Women"lol.

Yes, he was a beauty! The second hunt was just one of them hunts that everything was done right in my mind, just 2 of them ("W's) did not want to cooperate "Weather and Wildlife".

Just ringin out shots through brush with other moose right in the vicinity, other bull popped right up beside him. These guides are a disgrace to ethical hunting. So many times I see these videos with guides telling them to take the worst shots, hardly see the moose, no bearing of what’s behind in the brush, shooting over crests etc.

@HOTR- (Huntin On The Rock) AHAHA guess you’re not watching this video posted. 8:48 told him to shoot, ringin out shots through brush, not knowing what’s behind in the backdrop considering how thick it is and don’t tell you know because you don’t have a drone with an aerial view. Cows running around, who knows what’s behind. Second bull as well. Shooting aimlessly into a backdrop where you don’t know your bullets are going. Guides will say anything to justify doing whatever it takes, whatever shots to get that paycheque. Seen countless animals wounded on outfitter videos thatve gotten away due to poor shot calling and that’s just the animals they’re targeting let along what’s behind when there is a group. Bottom line is it makes hunters look reckless and contributes to the flak we get from society that ultimately gives antis fuel to sway those on the fence of the debate and why we keep losing hunting opportunities.

I’m a longtime Alaska resident and this is definitely an ethical shot/instructions.
If you’re hunting Moose you always want to put in a second or third shot when you can since they are extremely tough and can run off wounded to die somewhere you can’t find them.
