@@hospagalief let's not rub it in. Hopefully, next time they will respectfully ask to not blow-up their spot, but making threats is where did something just as lame as the dude who posted. I support his right to post but he knows the etiquette is to not post a spot like this.
@@thenewtowncryer surfers are the biggest kooks in the world, all started surfing with mommy during COVID and then become territorial and arrogant when they been surfing s couple years. Bodyboarding 100x cooler these days, keeping the mainstream away keeps the kooks away
@@thenewtowncryer Alex was asked very nicely not to film there by a local surfer who was there with his family. Alex decided to still post the video for views and likes. Alex you know this isn't cool. That's why you kept apologizing and looking at the ground as you left.
People have no respect nowadays. Really a bummer you felt so compelled to post this even with locals at the spot asking you not to. Deeply disrespectful. Views over anything I guess. Heaven forbid you go surf just to go surf. No one would’ve cared! Had to post it though. Slave to the algorithm.
Oooooof... There’s a reason you don’t see anyone else filming at any of these spots. Take this video down and leave the vlogs to surfing spots that are well documented.
I get the world is everyone’s to share, but over exposure to little secret places really does ruin it in the long run. I don’t think in 10yrs when the guy rolls back up to this place to see a heavy crowd, he’s gonna be that stoked everyone else is out ‘experiencing’ it too. Keeping places sacred ensures they remain special and revered. Pretty clear the sentiment in the comments
As many have pointed out, not cool filming this zone. Disrespectful and cringe. Stick to where there’s already Surfline cams and good luck if you think you’re ever coming back.
Disrespectful filming at spots you were explicitly asked not to film at and where locals themselves choose to never film. Yea, we heard about you already :/
i think that the negative posts in this thread are completely overreacting. at no time did the short film betray any location. you would have to know the coast quite well to figure out where these shots were taken. what's shown here is an inland to coastal odyssey winding up at some spots with distinct landmarks. to someone with no prior knowledge it would take quite a bit of iterating to line it up, not to mention getting the right conditions, which is easier said than done. the people making all these demands and threats come off like lamesters and bullies; they should be ignored. i don't see this video being a precursor to any kind of invasion. i go to the central coast a lot on solo trips and i am not seeing any indication of influx. which is why i go there. to get away. the only crowds to worry about are local crowds, if you could call them crowds.
There is agreement amongst the surfers here to not take or post photos of surf spots. That may seem strange to someone from a crowded or densely populated area but obviously it works because it’s less crowded. Weird how that works. If you surf for yourself then not posting photos is not a problem. This guy wants to monetize his surfing for attention on social media but others who surf there will pay the cost. Why must others, who actually live here, pay this cost as a community for a single individuals ambition? This is not a fair exchange and it’s not about localism. Local surfs do not and are not engaging in this activity.
@@cor4297 the problem is there are a LOT of new surfers now, and they have NO concept of any of this, its completely foreign to them. they dont care, and they have no respect.... having said that, a few little tidbits here and there plus google earth I was able to reckon where that left is. not hard at all.
That exactly why wrote that long winded comment. All we can do is be clear about the expectations and etiquette. Wow look at all these salty provincial hicks! Nobody owns the ocean. Go for it dude! Its takes a lot of fortitude to go solo surfing in sketch spots like these. Kudos.
The general concept is not: don’t go surf there or any type of ownership of the ocean. it is: don’t make and post a youTube video. Hoping not to have to elaborate on that concept.

What if you don't want to own the ocean BUT find posting spots on social media exploitative?
