Both Californian keyboarder Rose Ann Dimalanta, aka RAD, as well as Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer have worked closely with the legendary #funk revolutionary and all-rounder Prince and belong to his distinguished New Power Generation family of musicians. Together with bass player Raymond McKinley and drummer Massimo Buonanno, RAD founded a top-class trio that pays tribute to the groovy, scintillating music of Bill Evans and George Duke right up to the music of Stevie Wonder and D‘Angelo. As a first at the Baloise Session, Candy Dulfer appears as a Very Special Guest of the RAD Trio, celebrating with them the immortal sound of the New Power Generation in a hitherto unheard, innovative manner. - Hudba

I bet you know by now but she’s originally from the East Bay, and has been making records since the late 80’s (?), originally on a Germany(!) label. I can’t find any of her older stuff on U.S. iTunes but should still be available on CD. David Garibaldi played drums on many of them. She went by “rad.” back then …. Sorry - not trying to mansplain but have loved this artist for a long time.

With the bace & keyboarding & your tremendous voice I know you would nail it the sound l hear is pure challenge jazz keep the sound genre I love it
I remember hearing about Rose Ann Dimalanta when she played keyboards and vocals With PRINCE from the era of "Musicology " and Ms. Candy Dulfer was also apart of it as a part of The NPG, RAD is an amazing artist and a beautiful woman. I hope I hear more of her, she is smoove like jazz and Ruff like Funk. And She Is Funk! Go 'Head, Girl!

Ive Been Hip to Rose Ann Dimalanta for over 10 years Her Husband a great Producer/Musician himself. She has Seveal Albums Out With Tower of Powers Drummer David Garabaldi that will knock your socks off After he Left She acquired the Great Billy Johnson on Drums She had even the Great Ray Obideo on Guitar Very Funky is an understatement

As a keyboardist of less reknown, I find Rose Ann to be a keyboard ace, a sort of modern day Shirley Horn.
Without Ulco, it seems a bit empty, regarding 'Lily was Here'. Sorry. I just noticed he was a key player.

Rose Ann Dimalanta is such a great singer and musician. I have her 2 solo CD's that i play constantly in the 90's. Where is she now? Here last album was in 2018. Does she still sing and where? Please help me to find stuff from here. Thanks so much for this video. Candy knows her stuff.

Made a little money. In USA good musicians are everywhere. This Beatles tune treatment is OK. Reminds me of that funky Brazilian lady. Tania Maria.
