History and lore of Yavin IV from Wookieepedia:
Five thousand years before the Battle of Yavin, the ancient warrior race of the Massassi lived on Yavin 4 and constructed the Great Temple. Being enslaved by the Sith, the Massassi species would be extinct by the time the Alliance to Restore the Republic would utilize the temple during the Galactic Civil War as a base of operations against the then-dominant Galactic Empire. It was from this base that Operation Fracture was dispatched to Jedha. Shortly following this, Alliance snub fighter squadrons with orders to destroy the Death Star were also launched from Yavin 4. After the space battle and the related award ceremony, the rebels evacuated the base to escape any retaliatory strike by the Empire.
After the temple was abandoned by the rebels, a Special Galaxy Reporter was sent to Yavin 4 to write a travel advertisement about the ruins. The moon was also occupied by the Empire after the rebels fled, with Imperial walkers and stormtroopers stationed around the former base. Amid the Imperial occupation, Doctor Korin Aphra led his daughter, Chelli Lona Aphra, droids 0-0-0 and BT-1, and the Wookiee bounty hunter Krrsantan into a raid at the Great Temple during his search for the Ordu Aspectu.
At another point, a rebel force was sent to the moon in order to seize leftover data centers from the previous rebel occupation. However, the Empire managed to discover the plot and also sent forces to secure them for its own purposes. In the time before the Battle of Hoth, multiple battles between Alliance and Imperial forces would occur on the moon's surface.
Around six months after the Battle of Endor and after leaving the rebellion, Shara Bey and Kes Dameron settled down on Yavin 4 and planted the twig of a Force-sensitive tree on the moon.
Ever since I had first seen the 1977 Star Wars film, I have wondered how the entire base on Yavin IV had looked.
This is exactly what I've been for; ambience for Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy from the old Expanded Universe.
I love "I, Jedi", the Kevin J. Anderson books, the comics, and game "Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy". They built such a world!
Me too! I just finished that trilogy and am onto the next! Reading Darksaber! The Expanded Universe is so good and with such a rich cast, there is litterally a character for everyone!!
Don't forget young and junior jedi knights
I get more enjoyment perambulating through these game scenarios with beautiful soundtracks, atmospheric and carefully rendered landscapes than the majority of contemporary films. Not being a gamer your channel has literally opened up a new world. Thanks guys.
Same, not a gamer but love the worldbuilding
Great video! Very relaxing
I started rewatching The Mandolorian recently and it made me want to capture some Star Wars ambience
you beat me to it 😄
Big mood.
Amazing as always!!!! I miss this walkthroughs for Skyrim too :(
Stay tuned!
Wonderful. I hope you get your monetization back! I put these on the big TV at dinner time as background music with a nice view. (A multiple of 30 minutes is an extra plus, as I can set the TV to turn off. ;-)
Thank you Darren - I hope so too! I has been so disappointing to see CZcams treat so many honest and hardworking creators in this way.
This is amazing! Any chance you'll ever do the jedi temple??? Your vids are awesome btw!
Thank you! And yes, if I can find the right environment to make a Jedi temple vid work I will!
Nice work
Thank you sir
Poe Dameron approved :)
I don’t think this game has been beaten in terms of visuals since it came out
You could give some credit and add a tracklist with the name of the authors and the names of the songs.
Wow the crouching noise (or whatever it is) every two seconds really ruins it for me.
