hi, my chromebook (dell 5400 latitude), always keep asking for recovery usb when starting the chromebook...so i did the recovery via recovery utility...once it recovers it work fine, till i shut down...but there are strange things that keeps happening while it's working- 1/ it repeatedly keeps asking for PIN .. 2/ the shutdown,restart,sleep menu (at the right hand bottom corner) does not function properly...its like, when i click the up-arrow button next to shutdown or restart, the menu flickers up n down constantly and would not allow me to do anything.. 3/ Any window on the screen starts moving on its own..like the window maximize and minimize on its own without touching the laptop.... So i somehow manage to shutdown the chromebook, and when restart, it ask for recovery usb AGAIN....and this pattern has been going on for a week now... What is actually happening and what is the fix..would appreciate your help..thank you.

I followed your other (excellent) video and downloaded a new copy of the chrome OS onto a new USB drive, but when I insert it into my chrome book, nothing happens. THe same screen remains ("Chrome OS is missing or damaged."} It's a Lenovo IDeaPad C330 chrome book. If the computer will not allow a new install, its possible that your HDD is bad and needs to be replaced. On that computer, the HDD is actually an eMMC drive and is a part of the motherboard so it cannot be removed independent of the motherboard. You would have to replace the motherboard. Would you like help or advice with that operation?
I have never used FydeOS before but isnt that a special OS for a normal Windows computer so it can be more like a Chromebook? It may be hard to install that type of OS to a Chromebook. I would instead get an actual Chrome OS Install Media USB

I bought my chromebook and signed into my school account it is now locked on enrollment and my school wont remove it because its my fault and ive tried factory reseting it and it re adds enrollment every time. please help!
@@That.One.Pupperz-tj5fx Ya, that happens sometimes with that enrollment if it cant be unhooked from the source. I end up having to replace the motherboards in that case :(
That screen appears when you start the computer if your computer is not booting up and needs this procedure. Or, if you are trying to reset your computer and it wont reset it will go to that screen. If not for either of those two reasons, why are you trying to access that screen yourself?

Did you have DATA saved to your Chromebook or are you looking to recover online DATA or online accounts like your Gmail account? What is happening? Is Gmail not accepting your password?
@@PC_Monkey yes I found out both power wash. Developer mode and all those command do not work as a result of the administrator lock. I think the only way to fix it on my model is a full mobo swap

It's an old model Chromebook, the Asus Chromebook c200 and what I did was I hold the power button to turn it off because the screen was going through some display problems

Perhaps your looking at a drive issue then on the motherboard itself :(

Did you fully recover the OS? Have you tried a factory reset / powerwash? Def sounds like an OS issue
Esc+ reset + power just asks if I want to shut down. Can I use the USB process without being on the screen with the exclamation point?
Yes. You should be able to activate that 3 key combo even when the computer is off

If the computer will not allow a new install, its possible that your HDD is bad and needs to be replaced. On that computer, the HDD is actually an eMMC drive and is a part of the motherboard so it cannot be removed independent of the motherboard. You would have to replace the motherboard. Would you like help or advice with that operation?

If your still getting that error, you will have to have the company release the computer so you can install :(

Doing this completely deletes all your data if you don't have it backed up
@@BP-tr5uk Yes it does. Although most ppl shouldnt have too much DATA saved on the Chromebook. Most users save most of their DATA online.
New download to USB is not possible
When USB is plugged in it says "the security module on this device is not working." I've repeated the steps over and over
