- Join in on the fun and discover Swakopmund and Etosha National Park in Namibia with us!
Swakopmund is not the country’s capital but it’s Namibia tourist and extreme sports centre. It’s the place to be if you are the adventurous type. The city has a huge German influence.
What we loved the most there was the contrast between the city itself and the fact that it was sitting just at the edge of the Namib desert which is the oldest desert in the world. Although this beach destination in the African desert filled with historic structures originally drew us in, we found the sand dunes nearby to be even more magnificent. They are legendary; they're vast, beautiful and a lot of fun to roll down. We had a blast sledding and snowboarding on them!
From Swakopmund we traveled north to discover Estosha Park which is the largest salt pan in Africa and as big as the country of Belgium! It's teeming with wildlife and a great place to explore.
Enjoy the video and let us know where you're watching from!
